This video was so inspiring!, I'm currently an engineering student and life is just tough, I dread the days where I get back an exam that did very poor in. Somedays there are days where you get multiple poor grades, but in the end I keep on telling my self to keep my chin up and try not to make those mistakes/ learn how to study better. Someday I hope to work as an electrical engineer at HONDA...cars are my passion!
HONDA to me is a very special company and a very unique company. Partly because at HONDA it's almost always a person from the engineering department that makes it to the CEO position. It seems that most other manufacturers only like to promote people from the sales department to the CEO position.
This is a fantastic short-film, akin to Errol Morris' First Person series. Very well made and great concept! Highly recommended. Thanks for uploading this.
i would like to thank my teacher for sharing this video.Ouucccchhhhhhhhhh the video is so so so awesome and mindblowing pun adooiiiiiii!!!!!!!!hiyoik hiyok hiyokkkkkk
Ramy El-desouki I think failure is a must. How will you appreciate success unless you fail multiple times? How will you learn new things and challenge yourself if you just "succeed"? I've yet to learn about anyone that's successful that made it that far without failing. Look into the story of any successful person you might admire and you'll see the failures they've endured.
I think we should not think about falier but we must think about how to get succeded.give your best and when you fail inspite of giving your best you must not giveup but to look after your mistake which you made in past and to do you best not to repeat that mistake again.you must be confident (not over confident) of your self.everything is possible.
Wow, 13 million. You know, since '56, GM has built more than 100 Million small-blocks. No major valvetrain changes, just gradual evolution. Pushrods, baby!
@sausagenmuff Oh s2000 use to be the most powerful naturally aspirated mass produced car engine per liter of displacement in this case 2.0 liter engine making 246 hp meaning 123 hp per liter until it was beaten by the Ferrari 458 Italia.
Honda is my Favourite book and thanks for sharing this knowledge I also like a free android mobile book "21 Pathetic Habits of Losers" by lokesh which is super ideas of why we fail , which has helped me to learn how to succeed. Thanks guys
So, I've personally seen a leaking transmission on a '11 Crv with 83 miles, the 01 to 04 civics blowing shocks with less than 10,000 miles, from lack of caster, junk Showa powersteering racks, Odysseys with incorrectly clearanced cam bores that lock up at 10,000 miles etc... This is all part of your winning strategy? It's a shame that quality control at Honda died in '91 along with Soichiro.
Of course there would be. It's a total fallacy that the person who is credited for inventing something is the only person in history, or even during that year, that could have ever invented that thing. When the components and understanding to enable an invention are present, it's almost inevitable. There are a LOT of examples of this happening. One example: two men tried to patent the telephone on the same day, just a few hours apart. They both invented it, only Bell got credit.
So, what sevice is required in the first 83 miles of a '11 crv to keep the trasfercase from dumping pink fluid all over your garage floor. There are significantly more problems with the Hondas that were not designed under the supervision of the man who started the company n had no probem telling someone when they screwed up. It is clearly evident that the cost engineers took control of Honda in the mid-90's.
@sausagenmuff yeah its basically giving you power only when it's needed so that there is less stress on the motor in the low rpm range and the fact that the car is lighter cause less demand on the motor to hit 60mph then it would if that car were 500lbs lighter imagine putting the idea of v-tech into other engines if thats doable then my friend we have a really crazy motor
no a big company that fails is devastating look at goldman sachs. Since everything is failed by a percent value as opposed to numericals. And when you have huge numbers just 10 percent is pretty hard on the company
In a real world, if you fail then you don't survive. That's why you leave the experiments and trials to R&D and Marketing dept. Stupid... That girl who picked orange color should have been fired as she even admitted that she didn't do her marketing homework prior to... Also her immediate boss too for letting her suggest without doing little background check to see where she's coming from... This is really STUPID. You want inspiration then go study TOYOTA and understand/strategize ways to BEAT them. Dreaming is for losers, wake up and smell the coffee! There's only one place for #1, second place means you lost already... Come on!
Not really- Honda failed quite a few times when he started out and some failures were devastating- basically the end of Honda if you were an observer; and they would've meant the end of other companies/individuals, BUT he kept on standing up and having a go. THAT'S where Honda's philosophy of not being scared to fail comes from. They were happy to fail when they were small and they are happy to fail when they got bigger.
@sausagenmuff well i'm vw. audi, skoda, seat fan all the way... and no, there certainly is atleast one engine that has broken... simply because they all got their limit and some may even got made by a minor mistake :P didn't mean to offend anybody, it just bothers me when some people try to influence on other's opinion :)
@sausagenmuff the problem is not everyone is the perfect driver and a machine have there limits so the old hondas were a death trap on wheels I have never (knock on wood) crashed into anyone going fast but I did hit a tree around a bend when I unknowingly hit black ice and this is one of the many unknowns of street racing lucky for me it wasn't a honda I was driving or I would be dead today if they are going to make lighter cars they better make them safer
I use to love honda, they were amazing cars,, that always brought new technology into the market. But lately honda, I'm disappointed with you guys. You guys stopped taking chances. I mean look at your new civic it's just so boring.
Funny because DSM, Ford mustangs and many other cars can make over 500 hp on stock trans. Your just like a typical Honda owner, get pissed because you hear the truth.
Volkswagen/Audi is better, Quattro alone revolutionized WRC, and the mark 1 GTI is one of the best cars ever conceived... fuel injection in 1973 in a 4 banger was unheard of. That being said, I love Honda motorcycles.
Soichiro Honda is such a great example of effort, hard work and determination!!!
Honda is an engine company! Great video very inspiring
Just rolled over 300000 miles on the OD of 1991 Honda Prelude. Running fine.
Yep, the vision of one man lives on. Good on you team Honda.

Probably the most honest advertisment you will ever see!
Much respect for that
Very good!
HONDA to me is a very special company and a very unique company. Partly because at HONDA it's almost always a person from the engineering department that makes it to the CEO position. It seems that most other manufacturers only like to promote people from the sales department to the CEO position.
Toyota does the same
6:30 - I drive an orange Honda Element, and I just love the color! Thanks! :D
Senna/Honda is the most emotional motoring story of all time.
what happened with the dreams.honda.com site, where those videos where at??? put it back Honda!!!
This is a fantastic short-film, akin to Errol Morris' First Person series. Very well made and great concept! Highly recommended. Thanks for uploading this.
Its all in your desire and faith. Push the boundary further- that how you move to next level !
My favorite success speakers are Gary Vaynerchuk, Tim Robbins, Dan Pena, Grant Cardone. Do you recommend me some others?
Tony Robbins, Evan Michaels, Valuentainment
Andy Frisella
All great in there own right. As a addition to those, I would recommend Eric Thomas.
Once I dreamed the impossible but the parachute didn't work lol.
Honda4ever
Truly Inspirational!!!!!! thanks
What's wrong with orange?
do you know what VTEC is and why and when it's useful.
Not a Honda owner but a very inspiring vid! Love the thinking
Talking about a dream job, I would love to be one of those engineers! :D
Honda's return to F1 in 2015 was a massive failure. Hopefully they will learn from their mistakes and return to success in this following years
It's cool Margo. Coral pearl metallic is sought after by the collectors who know it exists.
This is a useful quote thanks.
i would like to thank my teacher for sharing this video.Ouucccchhhhhhhhhh the video is so so so awesome and mindblowing pun adooiiiiiii!!!!!!!!hiyoik hiyok hiyokkkkkk
Awesome video. Song name please.
Peace.
That orange "failure" is on the new NSX. Legacy!
Honda started as a motorcycle maker, at the time every other auto company avoid motorcycle because they think no one demand a two wheeler.
Anyone know what the music playing is by ?
Proud owner of 1971 Honda CB100 and 1988 Honda Shadow 600.
Can I translate this, please?
how can I send you the Arabic scripts for this video ?
@RoRogerRo yup. without proper servicing, could happen to any engine
Great upload. Love the ending.
I press like a thousand time. I wish they let you choose how many time you can like it.
awesome and mindblowing video sia!!!!!!!!psit buah seoulllllll

@sausagenmuff "Vtech" is a brand for a cordless phones and other items. I'm sure you mean "VTEC" =]
Does Alonso watch this every night in his bed? I kid, I'm rooting for Mclaren-Honda.
He should tho..
I have failed my job,,thought will get apprenticeship in tht job but don't have much English ,,,,now still can't find any job yet. So sad.
i think Soichiro want to say : wake up !! and make some true type R models AGAIN !!
I'm just wondering, do you really need to fail in order to succeed or is it optional?
Ramy El-desouki I think failure is a must. How will you appreciate success unless you fail multiple times? How will you learn new things and challenge yourself if you just "succeed"? HONDA for EVER

That orange civic low-key looks kinda fire
Love love love the last part! 7:48

@sausagenmuff Nope they haven't made a single VTECH unit as this is a kids computer system they have however never had a single VTEC unit failure.

all praise Erv Kanemoto
Edison's WORKERS failed 10,000 times and succeeded once. He marketed it and kept the money.

Good vid. But Honda is big enough to fail a lot and still come out a winner. For a smaller company with fewer resources, failure can mean the end.
no a big company that fails is devastating look at goldman sachs. Since everything is failed by a percent value as opposed to numericals. And when you have huge numbers just 10 percent is pretty hard on the company
