      Yeah, it was during his final year when every team gave him a gift that had a connection to their team. I know the Twins gave him a jar of David Ortiz edition peanut butter from a company in Minnesota because I was there. I think it was because of a prank they pulled on him when he played for the Twins (I believe they put it in his pants and made it look like he shit himself...)

    • @TathwemEssenuejal
      @TathwemEssenuejal 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What everybody is missing about the Pap vs Harper incident is Pap just fired Harpers ass up. Harper was mad at himself for popping that up and was getting down and out about it. Pap just pissed him off and now he will work even harder to show up Papelbon in his next at bat. He don't even remember the pop up after being choked by Pap. Great thinking by the Vet player in choking that little mad fella out and getting his head back into the game. LMFAO

    Papelbon was right to call out Bryce Harper for not running the bases ... suppose the Philly outfielder dropped it. But, Papelbon was the one who started the physical fight. It was not the first time that I had issues with Papelbon’s behavior.
    09/14/2014 - At the start of the 9th inning, the Phillies were enjoying a 4-1 lead over the Marlins at home. Papelbon then gave up four runs, costing the Phillies the lead. Not surprisingly, the crowd responded with a salvo of boos. Papelbon responded by grabbing his crotch. Papelbon claimed that it was necessary to adjust his crotch and that the grabbing of his crotch was not directed towards the booing fans. If that were so, couldn’t he wait until he got to the dugout?

    Hey Bryce..you are paid 8 figured...RUN. You know what has never WON a game? Standing at home plate after hitting a ball. Whether it is a pop up that you assume is going to be caught, or styling and profiling watching what you think is going to be a home run just to get on ESPN even though no one has watched Sportscenter in 20 years. But you know what HAS LOST many games? Standing at home plate after hitting a ball. Whether it is a pop up that you assume is going to be caught, or styling and profiling watching what you think is going to be a home run just to get on ESPN even though no one has watched Sportscenter in 20 years.
    Not to mention the many injuries that come from a guy standing at home plate, only to watch the ball fall in play and then having to run much harder trying to get to second base, often causing an awkward slide. (See Yoenis Cespedes' injuries the last two seasons.) And evne more hilarious is when the clueless announcers say "Look at him hustle!" on a play that the batter SHOULD have been standing on second long before the ball got there.

    I understand that in big games your emotions run high but that does not give you the right to throw a tantrum in the dugout swinging your bat and smashing things. Someone could've been seriously hurt. Very unprofessional David Ortiz.

    Tell you what if I'm a player on the Dodgers or tigers in the moment I start throwing punches. I've seen first hand what happens to those socks with heat. They shrink wrap right through the skin down to the bone. Almost lost my right leg

      What harper said back to him is that he should not be talking because he blew 2 saves in a row the games before that day, that's what made papelbon attack him

    Why is Ortiz mad he got out? He literally swung clean through. It doesn't matter where the pitch was he swung at it. I see him in tons of these videos swinging clean through and then getting mad when they call it that he had swung on a ball.
