Another great video Red! You're knocking them out of the park! Even an archery idiot like me can follow and do bear shaft tuning like the way you meticulously showed it! Thanks for really taking your time cutting such small increments off at a time to make it clearer! Your channel is quickly becoming a "go to channel" for people to learn all the different aspects of Traditional archery! Thanks for sharing brother and God bless!
Definitely the first time I have seen this method! But I Like how it adjust the stiffness of the arrow to match your shooting style as well as the bow!!! Not just turning the knock to the stiffer side and than living with the results. For Traditional Bow that have no rest adjustment this maybe a superior method of Arrow tuning with pre-fletched arrow. Starting off with bare shafts I'm going to trying finding the stiff side through knock tune and see If I can fine to by using your length adjustment method! Thank for sharing!
Nice work 👍😁🏹🎯 A friendly suggestion would be to square the end before hot melting the insert. Thanks for sharing your method!🤗😎 God Bless Y’all 🙏😇❤️🇺🇸
ok thanks thats a great idea for the video test to see how much it makes a difference in shot placement accuracy quality and arrow shaft durability on impact . thanks arrow snipper
Your attention to detail is why you have such good arrow flight in all of your videos! Excellent instructions on how to tune an arrow for your bow! Another useful video for us Trad Bow Hunters!
I just reduced the point weight down to 40g with short aluminum insert. Target archery, 40lb 25" riser, ILF long limbs. 600 spine Easton Legacy, 34" shafts. 300g, maybe less. Limb bolts tightening every few months. Eventually may have to cut shafts, but long arrows work well for string walking.
Good work! I've been using this method for years with all kind of bows and it works great! I get great arrow flight with bareshafts out to 35 yds. Gives me a lot of confidence and peace of mind. If i don't hit the mark, it's me and not the setup. I also used this tuning method with great results for compound bows. Do you measure where the spline is? In my experience it can make a big difference depending on the arrows.
I do it the same..and if I get a weird shaft out a the bunch I twist the mock to see if it changes the flight..or change the mock out for another..sometimes kicks will surprise you too! Ever play with brace as the temp changes? I find that as temp rises I have to add twist to keep from showing slightly weak..and if it cools down I take out twist..I run a bare shaft most times I'm shooting randomly most times..but some mornings if weather is up and down ill start with a bare shaft and then tweak the brace before getting down to challenging shooting..really like your style of vids..no b.s. and real
Maybe I'm doing it wrong I like to leave mine ever so slightly weak because in hunting situations out of my tree stand I may short draw ever so slightly

I tried it it did not work for me' this is the way Howard hill showed my grandmother when she was banging him when they did the Robin Hood movie together . but thank you🤠
you should hold the bow the way you always hold the bow and it makes a big difference close to 2-3 pound difference in bow weight try to do it exactly the way you always shoot
@@HyperManArchery but the arrow cannot become longer if you’re cutting it down the average arrows sold on the market today is anywhere from 30” to 32” inches if you have a 30” to 31” draw length and you’re using that week of a spine your arrow would end up being too short by the time it became stiff enough to go in straight instead of to the left. So by saying all that, what is the next step going to a heavier FOC? This is just my line of thinking. 🤔🧐 🙏🏼

thanks uncle brad I enjoy your videos especially on the one on spine testing I liked🤠👍👍👍👍
Thank you for arrow tuning 101 it will definitely help, I do believe even I could do that.

I alway try and keep my arrows as long as posable for target but for hunting I like them shorter for quiver

What spine was that arrow and how long was that shaft in the end after cutting?
500 spine and I don't have the arrow I gave it to the kids down the street
What if it's angled the other way ? To the right.

What state do you live in? That is as good a video on bare shaft that I've seen 👍
ca
@HyperManArchery Well Austin has turned into California.

How far away you shooting from?
10 yds and 15 for bare shaft . once I put the feathers on and shot it. it was 20 and 25 yds
