whenever I get a kit with the new toolkit I will probably never have to buy a new custom pen or tray again. That's how excited I am for these new changes. :D I did a preorder of Art Shop from ms. butter d last Saturday and I hope it has the new tool kit! Wallet will be thankful.

I began my first diamond painting time back in 2018/2019, my first DAC purchase was 6/14/2019. I started with Amazon and other less expensive paintings. From the very beginning….even before my first DAC purchase…..I never used the skinny pens and wax that came in the tool kits. I tried, but they just never worked for me. After much research and many TH-cam videos, I discovered using putty and a tool by Silhouette called the Embellishment Pick Me Up Tool. (Currently $5.79 at Hobby Lobby) The entire end piece of that “new” DAC pen is pretty much a carbon copy of the end of the Silhouette tool. Right from having a cover, to twisting the end to get more putty to come out, to removing the end piece - pulling out the stopper - reloading - replacing the stopper - and putting the assembly back into the pen. Granted the Silhouette tool doesn’t have a place for a multi placer on the opposite end, but I am not a multi placer user. I am a one drill at a time person. I took a break from diamond painting when I became a full time nanny. I am just now getting back into it because I will be officially retired August 9th…I turn 63 in September. The cost of DP kits has definitely gone up, just like everything else. So these higher priced kits will be few and far between….if ever. I do have some points built up with DAC that will allow me one more kit as a last hurrah! I love this Halloween painting that you showed in this video. Thank you for being so very thorough. 👍🏼❤️

Im so glad that you did this video. I saw some of those comments as well. I think DAC has gone above and beyond to make our diamond painting experience top notch. Its been so many improvements over time and they do listen to us. I cant wait to see a painting I want so I can get a box before they change anything. I want a new box. Also did anyone consider that they are putting back into the business and not trying to add to the bottom line. Any other company probably would have greatly increased the price of the diamond paintings with these improvements....but DAC didnt do that. I just hope they dont get discouraged with all the complaining and see that there are those of us who really appreciate the effort that they put in for us!

I like the new boxes. Integrating the pic is very appreciated. I have one so far and it is a little awkward to handle. I can deal with the size though for the aesthetically pleasing presentation. Kudos to them for trying to make things better.
If I were just starting on my DAC journey, I would be so happy with the toolkit, the box and the overall presentation. It’s absolutely first class, and I’d be a return customer. Luckily, I’m already a committed DAC customer, so looking forward to receiving new kits in the future.

I’m doing Chromatic Duet from Craftibly for and event I’m doing with Mindy and Brandi Craftibly Craze. I’ve gone a little crazy replacing drills on it!😂😂
I do appreciate Diamond Art Club making changes for the better, then also listening to outdo themselves. I am a Halloween lover as well, not the scary but cutie pie Halloween. I actually got engaged in full costume in 1994. Autumn Spirits is adorable, I’m just a little intimidated by the black color blocking. This is not to say I might not buy it. I fear this will make it to my home like so many. I love the new trays and think it was a massive game changer. Thank you so much for always putting so much into the information and time for us.
How would you put the wax in the putty end of the orb? Doesn’t seem like it would be possible. I’m looking forward to getting my new kit. They did a great job, I think. Thanks for sharing.

A god move for customer service. Squarer box with the cardboard risers inside allows the canvas to not be squeezed....rounder, less creases in the canvas. And the best part - name of the piece on the end when you fire log stack your stash.
People don't like change, so there will always be complaints with major changes like this. That will calm down with time. Most of my concerns with the changes can be resolved one way or another. The only thing I don't understand is them getting rid of the excess stickers on the sticker sheet. I use them and it seems like a waste to not give them to us. Isn't it an extra step for them to remove it anyway?
@theprincipalpainter never a need to apologize. I didn't specifically look for them in your video because I had seen in someone else's that they were removed. Just assumed it was a new feature, so that's on me. I appreciate your response and am glad to hear they are keeping that feature.

There are extra white stickers like before. I’m so sorry I didn’t point that out.
