The Principal's Office Hour is one of my favorite videos that you do. I throughly enjoy listening to your thoughts and advice. I too, struggle with wanting things to be perfect and worry about what others think and am hard on myself. Thank you so much for taking the time out to do this video, even though you are going through some hard things right now, and sharing your thoughts. This has given me some insight on how I can combat these issues and be perfectly imperfect. I will keep you and your family in my prayers this week and upcoming weeks as you all face the trials that are present in your lives right now. God bless you all.🙏

I absolutely what I get from these. I wish I known about the 24 hour pity party in several different times of my past. I think I would have done things alot differently. You are so right about being grateful. I began several years ago to be extra grateful when things are going wrong. It really does help with getting through things and calming your mental state. I hope I will be able to meet you in person one day. Maybe at a retreat if I can ever afford to attend one. You are truly an amazing person! This was my first Principal's Office Hour and I loved it! I need to go watch the other episodes. We are all works in progress and sometimes we just need to hear that its ok not to be perfect and to focus on the things that have real meaning.

The last few weeks have been a struggle and this message came at the 'PERFECT' time. Thank you Carra, I needed to hear this today! Long story short, my mother was on hospice from October to December and I had been taking care of her and still working crazy hours and taking care of everyone around me. She passed on New Years Eve. I didn't stop and take care of me! I 'had' to be 'perfect' and show the outside world I was. I buried myself even further into work and making sure my family was ok and able to get though her passing that I didn't take time to tell myself its ok to put me first for a change. I do tell myself I am not perfect all the time but this goes even deeper. Sending hugs and prayers to you, Marlin, his mother and your family! I'm sorry you all are going through this!

Carra, I am so glad that you do these. This is my first office hour, and I needed to hear the words today. I have struggled with perfection and people pleasing and know it is exhausting because none of us are or will ever be perfect. I truly believe that we never stop growing. There are so many different phases of life and challenges that, though they hurt, help us to grow in a way that we wouldn't otherwise. Today, it's navigating raising a teenage girl in the age of social media. My faith knows it will be okay, and our family will learn lessons and grow, but that doesn't make today easier. I will have to go back and listen to the earlier ones you did before I found you ❤ I hope you and Marlin take care of yourselves through the phase of life you are experiencing with your parents. One of my favorite sayings is "This too shall pass..."

I love the Principal’s Office Hour. It’s good to take time for yourself and give yourself a mental health checkup. I feel my day is complete when I’ve learned at least one new thing, no matter how small. Learning to love your imperfect self is a process.

Great Advice from Oprah. I'm going to have to buy that book. I'm not a perfectionist but I have passed on outings because I'm afraid I will run into someone from the past that will see I gained 30 pounds. I have even not went to funerals, weddings etc because I don't have the figure, I had that last time someone saw me. This sounds ridiculous writing this, but I speak my truth. I'm 72 should I really care?!? lol Love your channel

It's hard for me not to compare my progress and speed to other diamond painters because when I see other people finish a large kit in less then 30 days and for me it's going to take months for just 1 large kit does discourage me but I have to remember that I'm a beginner when it comes to large kits Also I want my kits to look perfect but when I see that there are gaps and my drills are not straight it used to drive me crazy but I'm learning to let go

Thank you for this. I try to please everyone and often forget that I need to care about myself as well. When I retired, I wrote three children’s books because I always wanted to be a writer. I self-published on Amazon. Will I ever be a famous author, no but I did something outside my wheelhouse and it felt good.

Hi... I don't think I look to be perfect... I try to do good/well. I've made mistakes/bad choices and I get up and keep going. I started my youtube channel to build friendships. It seems the friends I have are pulling away so I'd like to hopefully make new ones. If my other friends come back, great but if not then it wasn't meat to be.

First off, it depends on your definition of the word. We all fall short in ways. Some look at a purebred horse, dog, cat and see perfection. Others see a mixed breed and see perfection. Same with paintings, flowers, etc. And what I’ve said is just for starters. I could write a paper on the subject. Carra, you will always be relevant, please remember this.
