I just hope that they'll be able to roll it out in europe within the next 5 years, now that they have their R&D adas center in germany. I'm definitely looking forward to buying an updated ET5 in the future.
The unpredictable point of time for intervention causes a scary mind set for the driver at all non-Level-5 solutions. At this current stage of evolution (no matter if Tesla FSD or NIO+ or any other) I would definitely prefer to keep control for the whole drive. I would not like to risk any damage just for the "sake" of a ego shooter-like driving experience.
Very nice Money Losing Eric 😮. From this demo i believe Nio FSD is pretty good already. Not sure how this compare to Tesla self driving. But within next 1 to 2 yrs it will be roll out more and more and definitely the software and technology will improve even further.
NIO's NOP+ offers semi-autonomous driving capabilities similar to Tesla's Autopilot, but it doesn't seem to match Tesla's fully autonomous driving (FSD) capabilities yet. NOP+ can support lane changes and highway driving, but it seems like driver intervention is needed, especially in urban areas. My question is, why does NIO still look insufficient when it has more sensors and better performance, including LIDAR, than Tesla?
Since 12.5 Tesla self driving is mostly neural network-based from end to end, as opposed to rule-based algorithms. It took Tesla ENORMOUS amount of pre-training in order to reach its current stage, not to mention the compute and data center Tesla is hosting that other competitors simply can’t afford.
Sounds like it’s around the same as Tesla, Tesla is supposed to be good but not perfect. I see cars driving bye themselves in San Francisco with no interaction. That must be the best self driving.i want to say it’s Waymo.
waymo is definitely ahead of the curve, but they also use a way more sophisticated sensor suite. But Waymos tech most likely wont ever be affordable enough to get into production cars.
Just how good is Tesla FSD? I really don't know since nobody ever even talks about it in the west. Other than the fact that is only "FSD" people can see or use.
Very nice Eric, I wish I was in China driving around in a NIO or ONVO.:)
Thanks for being our eyes.

keep pumping out those NIO videos Eric!!!!
What are those camera flashes on the road? Speed cameras?
Just cameras, always cameras
its gonna have to be swarmtech to be really safe , it will also be faster and more eneryefficient
Good watch!
Eric, every time you use NOP+ you are allowing the AI train and improve his driving skills.
NIO when will I drive you in the US???
Not perfect but I hope it’ll get better. Have you tried Xpeng’s ngp? I heard it’s good. Maybe nio should poach some xpevs engineers
I tried it when it first launched a couple years back, definitely need to try it again
@@Eric_Garrison yeah, people keep on saying XPEV is better in this part but not so sure if they are so far ahead NIO.

Tesla FSD is level 2 and Nio is level 4
Try the Huawei V3.0
i will if I can get a car from them

Tesla recently updated version v12.5, and it's much better than before. The driver's involvement is very rare.

Makes you realize how good Tesla software is...
What's with all the comparisons to Tesla's FSD? Huawei's ADS 3.0 is now the gold standard for autonomous driving.
Bullish
