For those of you asking about the price of the table. Not sure. Like I said my friend designed it and had his people do the construction and the main part was a TV I was recycling. Overall I just had to pay for materials which didn't actually end up costing much since I already had the TV (Cheaper than a regular dining room table of that size).

That is the BEST table top setup I've ever seen.
When I made my groups table, it changed everything. Having a screen in it is just the best! Glad everyone is moving forward with this kinda design.
How do you avoid the issue of parallax (the mini appearing to be in a different square due to perception sitting at the table) if you protect the tv with glass.

This is an awesome idea. So many possibilities. Imagine when you want to teach rules. You could also bring up bug text rule books for people to read or youtube videos showing how to play.
Maps, character cards, recording on cards or soreadsgeets etc. Music and atmospheric theme music.
I might think about making one of these now.

I been using a 32 inch TV as a digital board sense Nov 2018. Best $100 i have ever spent save so much time with dungeon maps. Hope it is working out for you as much as it did for me.
Just started playing on roll20 with my friends all over the country which is cool. We just left the town of phandalan after bring peace and prosperity to the town. Cool freaking table setup. You should try to get into joe manganiellos game.

That looks pretty rad, dude. I've only barely played D&D with some friends, and I wanna get into it a bit more with my friends, but that doesn't seem like that'll be happening any time soon. But it would be pretty rad if you streamed your campaigns, at least a bit.

Not a D&D guy but that is the coolest thing I've seen created in a while
Really amazing looking table. I saw something similar in one of the tabletop rpg design websites, where they interviewed a guy who makes tables like this as work/hobby, but yeah these tables cost a lot of money. I think he was able to make the table without the tv of course for 200-300 USD or something and sells them for 400-600usd I think. Of course it depends on the size and material a lot, so really large ones with excellent material might go for over thousand easy.
