Your knowledge has helped me read structure so much for Striper and Snook. It’s second nature for me to read any body of water I see regardless of where I am🙏🏼🙏🏼
Hi Rich, I've been watching your videos for years, I never get tired of watching them. It is a pleasure to listen to the way you speak, the passion and affection with which you talk about the sea is truly contagious. I congratulate you on your dedication and I thank you for all your advice and teachings. I wish you good health and that everything works out for the best in your life. A hug.
Thank you for your kind words and feelings Carlos. I'm glad that someone appreciates my efforts. It makes me happy that I have the opportunity to pass something forward to a sport that had given me so much pleasure and has actually taught me a lot in return. Be well and catch'em up.
Hi ben. Rods, reels, etc are tools, but 2K worth of rods and reels won't catch anything if you don't have the knowledge. Your on the right track. Thanks for watching.
Thanks Rich! Very interesting information in this video. I particularly was caught by the "ocean sweep", that I never paid attention to before and, as you explained, can have a dramatic impact on fishing, if you are on the wrong side of the sweep.
Hi Rich. I absolutely loved this video. Your suggestion about casting up on to the shallow and working your lure into the deeper water is great advice. It reminds me of LMB fishing with hollow body frog and mouse lures. I would actually cast them up on the bank and drag them into the water, similarly with mouse fly patterns for brown trout hugging the banks. Seriously, your videos have opened my eyes to just how much fishable water there is if you just know where to look. Amazing work!
Hi Anthony. There are many parallels to fresh water fishing. Most fish relate to edges and all fish look for advantages when feeding. And it's always about bait. Great structure is nothing without bait being present. Thanks for watching and thanks for the sub!
Hey Rich. Its always exciting to see when you post a new reading the beach video. Keep up the great work. Hardcores like me cant get enough of them. Sending love brother
We had some storms here along the coast in SC was just down by the beach in Pawleys Island SC at low tide to see if the sandbar has changed looks really good for surf fishing with all the new structure. Your videos helped me at a lot reading the beach Thanks..
Hi Battle. Looks like a nice area. You have some backwater, inlets and bay waters near by also. My sister lives in Charleston. I should go pay her a visit lol. I'm glad my videos could help. Hope you get some nice Drum!
Hey Rich it’s great to see you back I just checked to see if you were doing anything and it’s great it is so fantastic that you’re back hope you’re feeling a lot better brother
How long have you been in Virginia Beach? I’m a local. Love your videos they’ve helped me out quite a bit in accumulating spots even with how limited we are here. Hope to see you out one day
Hi pb. I've been here 10 years now. The beaches are pretty plain Jane structure wise compared to the ones on eastern Long Island. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the east / west orientation of Long Island and the winds. You really have to stare at them to find the little bottom variations. I prowl Sandbridge and Back Bay most every weeknight (don't like crowds lol) starting mid-Sept. I travel light, fish black rods, almost never put a light on and when I do, it's red, never white lol. Thanks for watching and good luck this fall. Let's hope we have a better one than last fall.
