Damn that blows….thats the heart. What’s going on with Disney? Makes no sense. Walt is forever turned over in his grave. I’m tearing up too and we’ve never been to MK, I can imagine, that’s so gut wrenching
They do not understand how to build an experience from days beginning to end. They are too focused on big ticket rides. They need to focus on the time not spent on rides and just sitting with your family. This change will cheapen the park and the experience.
Shame to see it go. My thought is couldnt they have done it somewhere else...like the parking lot at Hollywood Studios, which IMO, Cars Land would fit in waaaaay better. There is just something about the water, The Liberty Belles horn, etc that makes Frontierland so nostalgic.
@@nefasventures It would fit into Hollywood Studios a thousand times better!! I can’t imagine the Magic Kingdom without the Rivers of America. So crazy.😢
@@TheAdventuresofMegGreg I’m always nervous when they announce new things because I know that we’ll be losing something. This one hit really hard. It will change the aesthetic of the entire park.😢 So many things get announced and never built so I guess I shouldn’t freak out yet.😂 This was the third time they announced Villains Land!!😮
I’m an old (60+) and classic Disney fan. For me, PIXAR is not Disney, for example. Put all these brands (Marvels, Star Wars and so) at Hollywood Studios. Or in the already messy DCA. That park launched the Theming Nightmare Age! And thinking that Walt Disney invented a theme park exactly for being tired of the mess of visual information at those old carnival fairs!!! Disney should create new things for the Magic Kingdom following It’s original ideas! Walt Disney was smart enough to not tie any of the original lands of his first theme park, Disneyland, to any movie in particular. The rides could be related to some movies, but not the lands. It’s a safer way not to became outdated fast. They already ruined the fantastic Epcot Center from the 80’s. Now is the Magic Kingdom in jeopardy!!!!! They have enough land at WDW to build new things without eliminating some Walt Disney’s classic creations. It seems that the “Today Disney” doesn’t care or respects the real legacy of It’s once whole world beloved name! So sad!!! ☹️
@@Mr17051963 When you make rides based just on movies you become Universal Studios. Disney used to try to be different than everyone else, now they want to copy them. Really sad what is happening. I would be fine with Cars Land going into Hollywood Studios. At least it would be on theme there. Taking away the Rivers of America will take away some of the heart of the entire park!! I’m so upset about this!!!🥺😢
Remember that Disney shortened the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island in Disneyland, and at the expense of closing down some classic attractions that are quintessentially Walt Disney over an extended time, for a Star Wars land that didn’t work out. Sounds like Disney is repeating the same mistake in Florida.
@@brianwu2697 Taking Walt out of the parks is never a good idea. These attractions are what makes the Disney Parks different. Hopefully this is just another announcement that never actually gets built.🥺
@@IndyMeetsDisney Still hoping they build it somewhere else. No need to get rid of the Rivers of America. The entire aesthetic of the Magic Kingdom will change!! Thanks for watching!😄

So sad to see this affected. I love hearing that new changes are coming but it’s always sad to see old places that are dear to the heart.
