I watched the whole documentary in spanish. i didn't know there was an english version until I began to deeply research this channel. You guys do a great job to provide valuable information. Giving many people without a voice, an opportunity to let the world know how their lives are being affected. You guys deserve more credit and a much bigger audience! The german people continue to amaze me with your involvement to help others. My family was once sponsored by a German woman, through a program in Ecuador. I was a kid then, I am now very thankful I found your channel because it has inspired me to help others in the near future. I will keep watching your videos to learn more about this obscure world.

Actually it's the simple people that need to help the westerners. Not the other way around. Money does not equal happiness or contentment. Money only equals luxury. Luxury does not equal happiness. Only the spirit of the Lord gives that. Westerners need to learn this lesson. They need to see the happiness and contentment of simple living people. It shows that more money doesn't mean happier. This is a deception. It's evil. One day.more people will begin to understand this

In Canada, Mercury poisoning was rampant at Grassy Narrow Native Reserve, in Ontario, as a result of Mercury contamination from local paper mills discarded into local rivers. Fish, an important food for Indigenous communities, caused an outbreak of Minamata disease, damaging many people. The same thing may happen in Peru as well, sadly.

I worked for the mining industry in Canada for 14 years, and I'm flabbergasted what I see in this documentary. Our mine had to be approved even before starting-up operations. It had to comply to a whole set of mining regulations including environmental ones. The effluents called tailings had to be contained and treated. The mine was subject to regular mine inspections to ensure compliance. Other thing is, that the government required the mine to set aside a considerable amount of money in escrow account each year, and collected there for future reclamation works, after the mine closed down. The differences from what is depicted here and what I experienced is enormous. The local government be it the Brazilian or the Peruvian, should've never let those enormous damages occur just like that.

If you do one, please don't complain and ruin the entire show and turn it into an environmental and political propaganda. Westerners need to realize that they don't need to help simple people. It's the simple people that need to help the westerners. Money does not equal happiness or contentment. It only equals luxury. Luxury does not equal contentment. Simple people that are believe in the Lord are blessed. They are happy and make do with what try have. It's the puffed up and high minded westerners that are unhappy. They are unthankful and ungrateful and assume that they are blessed more then the simple people of developing countries. WRONG!!!! They have much to learn and probably will be never learn this lesson. To watch simple people have contentment is beautiful and inspiring. Then to listen the westerner commentator complain the whole show and bring the viewers down with her garbage thoughts process. Did the film crew ride their bicycles to Rio de Janeiro? No. Is their film equipment made from plastics and metal? Yes. Did they fly in a plane to get to the film site? Yes. Please do not allow yourself to be brainwashed. Especially being from the Philippines. The most Christian country in the world. The most blessed country in the world.

Mom got admitted to hospital and stayed there for three days, that's why i skipped watching DW yesterdays. But now I'm back. This weekend I'm going to binge watch all these docu. Yas!
This episode taught me to advocate people to have more sex and use condoms, so people can keep their jobs in condom factory. Plus, i like how the german guy nagged about the regulation in the border when he had to bring his bag to have it checked, the other one nagged about being late to the destination due to road blockage (in the previous eps)... lol.
I also noticed one of the cameraman got to be in the helicopter, which is kind of SUPER COOL!
Btw, this one eps has too many ads. But I watched them anyway, because I love DW and that's the only way I can support them.

100m condoms is 1/5 of the total demand, so that's 500m. There is an adult population (15-69) of roughly 145m, which would mean each adult uses about 3.5 condorms a year. I doubt it.

I suggest doing a documentary about how a fertile, virgin, and awesome natural ecosystem and National Park like Canaima, in Venezuela. It is sad, pathetic, outrageous and tragic how the narco government of Nicolàs Maduro lead the Colombian guerrillas such as ELN, as long with local and Brazilian criminal mafias and the illegal gold digging has destroyed such a natural reservoir and killed hundreds of natives of the region. The damage is unknown, from the satellite view the world can appreciate the devastation. The Venezuelan government does not care about the situation, it is only interested the gold and coltan production to pale the critical economic crisis and the money devaluation, the highest of the world. This is a topic of huge importance to the world. DW should do a documentary about it. The Venezuelan people and the world will appreciate it.
Note: Crew special protection is needed. The criminal mafias (Iranians, Russians, Chinese, Brazilian, Colombians and Venezuelans) are a serious concern in the area. The destruction and corruption is the highest level.
