      ye it sometimes feels pretty arbitrary, but you should watch some ADC mains like IKeepItTaco, XFsnSaber, Rekkless or KDrama they talk about this all the time because it benefits especially adcarries so much

    So from my understanding about ending lane phases,
    If your team is crushing their lane, you can extend the lane phase to get them further ahead
    If your team is losing a lane, you might want to end the lane phase so that they can get out and find gold elsewhere
    If your team is good at diving and getting picks, advancing to the mid-game might let you get ahead
    If your team is not good at fighting randomly, try to keep towers up until your gold advantage means you can fight

    I am so happy. I thought about the game, and realized a while ago, while being brinze 4, excactly this concept about towers. none of my friends agreed, and no one listened to me, despite me mathematically proving that I was right. Because of my rank. It feels so increadibly good that a really good player confirms my strategic intuition.

    This is actually super good information. I've been playing for 11 years now, always struggling to get out of Master/Grandmaster and most of the problem starts in midgame when it's just about fighting. I'm not the greatest when it comes to carrying teamfights unless I'm on a super comfortable champ. I usually love to play calculated and have the game the way I want it to be, not random flips all around the map. I usually try to get as many plates as possible before min 14 and then try to help my team while not losing too many waves on sides. But I will from now on consider more to let that tower alive and extend the laning phase.

    5:08 personally, i like getting an early tower, i just like the macro stuff a lot, because since champs are so overtuned this is the fun part for me. As you say the lane phase is really static, if you hit your minions one time less or one too often, you mess up your wave already and have to play safe the next 3 minutes or so. You play against a lane bully, and stuff is really annoying.
    While in the later stages you just have way more options to play around with.

  • @BananaHead223

    I had one game yesterday where I played blitz support and absolutely sucked in lane. Adc was flaming me, jungle was flaming both of us, mid was doing fine, and top was winning. They kept trying to surrender. 4 times they tried. Adc-yes, jungle-yes, mid-yes, but top and I kept saying no.
    And then the enemy threw 2 teammates, we got soul, and we won the game
    I believe that having a strong mental and absolutely refusing to give up does win games

    I think rather than poppy wanting to end the lane phase, the thing is actually that Vlad is a scaling champ and therefore doesnt want to go into midgame asap.
    A similar example would be Fiddle...you need time to get to 6 and get items yo sou dont really want to power through laning phase right into midgame, do you? So you might actually pay a lot of attention to the one thing that opens the map...Herald.

    Not that swapping lane usually works in soloq, but one could swap lane after between bot and top instead of araming for no reason. It would still keep the idea of lane phase while at the same time not being lanephase anymore. Your botlane would get richer and your riven couldve farmed vs the underleveled vayne and the rakan for free

Meepo was just.. well known for it. dota 2 made it much easier and not totally necessary(like you can use all the abilities of all the meepos just by spamming keys as long as u have them all selected which was impossible in allstars). -_-random :P

    This kind of reminded me a game in which we were 15 kills ahead of the enemy team. When lane phase ended, the guys I fed as a jungler started to make plays 1v4 and 1v5 again and again and again, and our team couldn't never beat a 5v5 in equal terms. We started with thousands of gold ahead of them, and lost nexus due to cocky disturbing players trying to abuse the weak, as kids did in school with them.

    I recently had a Game as Camille where I completely stomped a Riven. Solo killed her lvl 3, double her Farm all game. At 12min I killed her under Turret, was 5/0 at the time with 80cs, proxied a Wave and wanted to kill her again between tier1 and 2 tower. Instead of my 0/5 Riven came 9/0 Draven with 1 1/2 Items and his Lulu 2 shoting me. While in Greyscreen I watched as the 0/5 Riven tps Bot while my Varus and Sona just stand ontop of the Ward so she can kill both of them simultaniously. No matter how good you do, Bot will always feed.....

In wild rift I’m really good at top but not at jungle. In lol pc I’m really good at jungle but I suck at top lane. What should I do? I play wild rift a lot, but those 9/0/10 consistent games of jungle on lol pc look nice. Or u don’t care at all which is understandable. Still loving the guides btw.

    yo hector 7:27 what you think of that approach spamping your team to go for drake bluffing to your opponents there are 5 people bot but instead you go top deffing tower and getting gold by the time you are top they got drake. its like 70% chance or higher enemy fall for that and you just get free drake and def top?

  • @dialp4penguin
    @dialp4penguin 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Question!! What do you do if you're stomping your lane, but your other 2 lanes are in the opposite position and they're being stomped. Wouldn't you want to take your tower so you can go help your other lanes? Or no?

    • @luezma
      @luezma 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should only rotate to those objectives you need, otherwise keep snowballing and pressuring. Depends a lot on what champion are you playing and particular team compositions(think Shen), but generally its not a good idea to leave your oponent alone to help your teammates.

    • @dialp4penguin
      @dialp4penguin 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@luezma My specific example is with Nasus. I'll be 5/0 in laning phase, but my mid lane is 0/5, my bot lane is 2/9, jungler is doing mediocre but not great.... What do I do there? I don't think the answer is just sit in lane all day and make one enemy suffer while the rest of the enemy team is steamrolling, right?

    • @luezma
      @luezma 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dialp4penguin it's not something I could just answer right now, and I don't consider myself good with nasus. My first guess is that you definitely need to keep splitting and keeping the enemy team in check (do they siege and let you push/kill whoever contests your push or collapse on you) and stay farmed, but at some point you'll be forced to group although you will slowly lose your advantage the more you group, look at it as an investment.

    I mean i understand the idea and the concept but.. lets say i have a lead, i get to snowball, say im 6/1, shouldnt i WANT to end the lane phase so i can take my lead and help my others team mates snowball too? i mean, my lane opponent would be averaging around 200 or so gold per kill, plus i have to put into the balance if i prefer one tilted enemy or my teammates bitching enough they tilt themselves into throwing

  • @mido3071
    @mido3071 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I know I came 6 month late here but ... I really have a question that's been bugging me during the entire Guide.
    you said that laning phase is predictable and therefore should be prolonged and mid game is chaotic.
    and I get that ... when everyone gets his power spike and fights involve more than one or two players the play becomes extremely sharp and tiny negligible mistakes can lead to throwing entire games.
    But thinking from another perspective ... what about tempo ???
    doesn't taking tower plates grant you permanent gold that cannot be redeemed after the 14 min mark ?
    why sacrifice all that gold if you are ahead that's literally free tempo.
    the second thing is ... well now you are ahead and extremely powerful and someone is getting tortured in their lane and they probably wanna ff and will affect their team negatively, but thinking about it from a logical stand point suppose your enemy laner is actually tilt proof and can be calm. Then who is actually trapped in lane here ? Him the useless player who was feeding the entire game and is probably better afk.
    Or you the one who can literally destroy the entire enemy team but you are stuck laning because you don't want him to catch up.
    I think of it like you are the lion in a cage waiting to be released to single handedly carry this game.
    The concept explained in this Guide is very confusing and seems to contradict a lot of other concepts stressed on in other guides here on the channel.
    I would really like a detailed explanation.

    I don't get it. How come prolonging the laning phase can be more beneficial?
    If I destroyed my opponent in the top lane, the only thing in my mind is to get the first tower gold and lane swap to get more plate gold.
    Isn't this the most efficient method?

    • @muellernikolai8630
      @muellernikolai8630 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      if your opponent is hard losing the lane phase. Every minute spent in the laning phase, you are gaining more of an advantage over your opponent since you are killing them/denying farm/exp. Therefore, the longer you spend in laning phase, the bigger your advantage becomes. If you end the laning phase, then you might get more of an advantage by swapping lanes and getting more plate gold, but some bullshit can and will happen such as your other laners refusing to swap adn then you share farm and lose gold. Or some bullshit 5v5 happens that you lose, because even tho you might be a 2/0 darius against a 0/2 malphite which you can absolutely destroy in the 1v1, your advantage will mean jack shit when the malphite ults your entire team and you get 5 man shockwaved by the enemy 3/0 orianna. In this case it is much better to make the malphite 0/7 and ragequit by prolonging the lane phase.

    I never hit challenger (d2 on euw) but i fundamentally disagree with you about the game state when the riven goes bot. Idk how it’s even possible to loose after that tbh? Your botlane must have had a massive stroke (which happens). I think if you just continue facestomping them topside with your botlane the game just ends. Perhaps your tilt stopped you from communicating that to them? Idk how they killed themselves in mid (I do admit that’s some next level inting) but it’s probably prevent if you just walk with them and engage the seraphin the second she shows her face? I just rewatched it. How the fk did they die mid lol?! NA things

    and then i back away or just crush them if i can
    if top lane go to other lane it mean 'i can get another tower'
    until i can attract enemy attention and let my team play freely
    the risk is on me and i know what i can do so it ok for me to take the risk
    and torture top lane in laning phase can't carry the entire game
    i'm in low diamon on garena server by the way
    so i'm also a low elo T T

    Why did you start red this game?
    I gues that it was for lv 2 gank mid.
    But still i think that i would start top because your bot lane is heavy engage.

    For low elo I just q jungle and look at how my teammates are playing, if there is a potential I help them, if there is none I just go next. Its not possible to solo carry 3 loosing lanes. At least one lane has to be clearly winning for me to care. I like when my top is winning bc its so far away from objectives I can gank one or twice to start the snowball and then the enemy jg either has to save top or it will go out of control, therefore easy drakes for me. Winning mid is also awesome because then we basically get 2 junglers just roaming. Bot is ussualy not a win con for me, unless the adc is playing a mage like ziggs or swain or whatever and they have good amount of cc. Classic adc is ussualy useless. I never play around bot unless the enemy is just a peanut brain then its an easy snowball for me. I always tell my bot that the only way I will come is if I see a chance to get drake after. I fully expect bot to win even if they are camped by enemy jg. Or at least to not feed. If I have a bad game then I ask my most competent player what he wants me to do so he can carry me easier. If all lanes loose I call ff and go next, I know its possible to come back but everyone has to have a clue how to and in gold/plat people just don't have that game knowledge.

    hmmm........... weird subject. "at your peak" "in the zone" i get it. a lot of this "analyst information" is stuff that's learned while you're just.. generally playing the game. or all of it really can be learned just by playing the game. all you have to do is revert back to when everything you did was habit or instinctual. You can do that with the f-keys as well, if you want to eventually incorporate them.. but you might be having problems with that because you're busy thinking about other things that don't necessarily have to be thought out. Like, a lot of time is wasted on grief.

      Yep! nobody punishes him correctly and that's generally the main reason he's viable. You want a big disparity in gold, as opposed to just prioritizing gold on you.

    extended lvl 1 invades are game losing... your team might get 2 kills but if they get to lane late then they all get dunked on by the lvl 2 enemy resulting in lost farm snowballing into missing lvl 6 powerspike leading to a lost tf at dragon or rift... and those kills early would have been meaningless... idk maybe i should stop watching jun entrance so team doesnt get stupid ideas as often...

    I just had a game zyra-cait (I'm cait) vs ashe lux. she could farm a little.. but we were damaging them so much. until the zyra fed ashe like 3 times. anyway not the point. the point is, I kept taking plates. and eventually the tower. but if I'd done what is said here and left the tower and tried to farm ashe.. well it wouldn't have helped because meanwhile kayn was farming my whole team. we lost, bad. oh btw.. kayn is broke as f*
