    This was a really full and fun day of flying, and I’m glad we got to stop in Toronto and hang out with Steve. He’s edited around 20 Aviation101 videos from 2018 to 2020, and he’s done a FANTASTIC job! The editing load has been back on me since then (he got busy, I got busy, and we fell off the collaborative groove). I have no doubt we’ll work on film projects together again, though! Now onto Part 7. 🤓

    Josh, you realize you always be Mr. Aviation101 to the us old timers.

  • @seanmarshall7608
    @seanmarshall7608 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Josh, technically you should have filed a flight plan. In Canada even VFR flights of more than 25 nm require either a flight plan or flight itinerary with a responsible person.

    • @gregflude2284
      @gregflude2284 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just to expand on this a little, US aircraft flying in Canada must comply with CDN regs unless they conflict with US law. So, over 25 NM in Canada you must file a flt plan and that does not violate US law. Equally, a Canadian aircraft in the US must comply with CDN regs as long as they do not conflict with US law. A Canadian aircraft must file a flt plan to go more than 25nm in the US even though US law doesn't require it.
      I flew the Sault - Toronto route last October in clear blue skies and it US breathtaking. Love the channel.

    Josh and Chelsea.
    Really, really enjoyed this video, after watching part 5. I am Canadian :-) and I reside in Kingston (CYGK) about 120 miles east of Toronto.
    Started flying after retiring, just before Covid, and the latter put me about 2 years behind schedule. I soloed about 2 months ago and have a few hours solo since. Weather has been a frustrating challenge this spring, slowing me down, but that’s part of the business. Looking forward to progressing.
    Interesting observation. Before you commented on the scenery during base and final into Billy Bishop with Steve, I was thinking the very same. Been to Toronto many times, but never from that perspective. Wow!
    Sure did enjoy watching your professionalism and competency, while flying in the several busy airspaces. Your experience shows.
    Take good care both of you, and stay safe!

    Awesome video and welcome to my playground! Indeed Billy Bishop/City Centre is my favourite to land at - lots of action, but the scenery is indeed spectacular. Short final can get squirrelly with all the winds whipping through the buildings and the Dash-8s buzzing around -- but you both did a great job! Hilarious to see my house from some of these shots as you flew west along the lakeshore. Glad you got a Falls tour in as well - next time you're up, you should do it during the evening, the Falls & city are lit up beautifully!! Anyway keep up the great work & hope to share the sky with you next time around, eh!

    Hello from Sydney Australia.
    Absolutely fantastic, I'm watching this episode again. It evokes memories of a picture lamp (circa 1975) of Niagara falls. The heat from the light globe would turn an aluminium fan inside giving the effect of turbulent flow.

    Glad you enjoyed Toronto! Point of interest for you. CYZD that you flew over is home to DeHavilland Q400 production and historically is where the Beaver was produced. The white dome next to the CN tower is where the Toronto Blue Jays play. Hope you plan to visit again! The quality of your footage is very close to reality. Very well done. It's my favourite route to fly in the area.
