The archetype of Capricorn is mentioned here as a father but Capricorn has a feminine energy. I always find it difficult to reconcile these two opposing concepts. But if I think about Capricorn as strict grandma it makes sense 😊
I’m a Capricorn with both my mother and mother as capricorns and I can tell you that they were extremely strict, honest and hardworking, specially my mother who lived her entire life handling responsibility and sacrificing her love life of any other source of pleasure. My father was a drunk and died when I was 11, leaving my mom to raise 8 kids all alone in a very dangerous place and with no money or schooling. But despite all that, my mother still managed to save money to buy a house for us to live in and after we grew up and left, that house became her source of income as she divided it into 4 small studios and rent them out now that she no longer works as a maid. All three of us came for poverty and had a tough upbringing, but me and my mom both built a life for the future of our financial security. One of my favorite episodes. I find myself relating quite a bit to Capricorn despite having only my south node, my IC, and BML in Capricorn. It must be my Saturn in Libra in the first house conjunct my AC.
@49:53 haha. People either love or hate this about me. My mom is a Libra and she hates how critical I am of everything. She sees it as negativity and a Debby downer. Everywhere we go, I’m like “that could be changed to this so it’s more efficient” “they should have put this in here with this so it would taste better” “the architecture could be better built in this way so that this place was more efficient” etc… I’m always noticing and pointing out how things could improve or become more efficient. I’ve started to realize recently that I should find a career path that allows me to do this. I’m a natural at it!
Thank you so much for this, Cap Sun Mercury Venus and MC here, I love astrology because it so helps me not to feel out of control as a Cap we can really shoulder the storm, but so good to know that it will pass….however Pluto has made it an f’ing long storm, and this year I enter my Second Saturn return. The tiny Tupperware!!! YES!🤣 (And the: "Can I get a coupon?") You guys were right on about so many things. I found myself laughing as I identified with your observations. People sometimes forget what a wicked sense of humor Caps have - dry and quick. I love chatting with another Capricorn because we crack each other up. Serious, all business at times, making do, discounts on the highest quality, but salt of the earth, rock solid, dependable. Thanks for a thorough look at the sign - the plus and the "not as plus".
Capricorn moon and my late father was a Capricorn sun sign, we didn't get on until later in his life, just like before he passed away, so this will be interesting. This series on astrological signs is very good. I love it. I also have Mars in Capricorne in the 1st whole sign house and I can strongly feel my Capricorne side. Plus, my Saturn is also exalted in Libra, forming a beautiful exalted square with my Mars. Thank you Chris, Diana and Madeline for this episode.

Thank you for another insightful video!! I'm Cap sun and this really hit home on so many things. Down to the old soul familial responsibilities as a kid, and even aging backwards! People thought I was 18 or older when I was 12, and now mid 30s and people think I'm younger. Astrology is amazing and blows my mind 🤯
Thanks Chris, you are the biggest and the most formal source of Western Astrology content in the world on TH-cam. It is time for astrology to be treated and regarded with respect, seriousness, and consideration just like any other academic field. I firmly dislike the common notion that astrology is only for entertainment purposes rather than for educational means.
Thank you soo much for bringing up the stereotyping!! Im a cap sun (scorpio rising aries moon, venus in sag in the second house and a life path #5) So such eye-rolling as readers etc constantly associate me with the corporate world/ corporate structures- im a Capricorn mystic.
Such a great video articulated clearly on complex concepts - thank you team :) I resonated with a lot of the Capricornian keywords and you've helped me understand myself even more deeply (for example why my Venus Sagi/intuitive, wild, free and heart-driven voice conflicts with my Sun and stellium in Capi at times)!
Been waiting for this episode! I have sun, moon, mercury, Lilith, south node and MC in this beautiful sign that has taught me so much about myself! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I also waited till Hamilton was “free” (on Disney+) to watch it and was blown away. Not only is Hamilton himself a cap stellium, but Lin Manuel Miranda is a cap sun, moon and mercury! As a cap new moon baby myself (+ 4 other planets), I felt so seen. Also lovely episode!! Resonated so much.
I loved this episode so much! I'm a Capri rising with a Cancer Sun (in the 7H, ofc) and I've been thinking so much about that opposition, and how it makes me be so different on 7H types of relationship but also how the "self" that I am in that kind of relationship has often felt like my "real self" or "idealized self" because it's my sun. And it's only now, as I'm nearing my first Saturn return, that I've started to really honour my Capri Self, who she is when she is not enmeshed in commitments to others, seeking to nurture others. I've noticed too that in 7H relationships I often find myself in a position where I want to give out tough love, where I want to give out very Saturnian advice, but that there is a block - whereas in other kinds of relationships that saturnian, very real, bluntness comes easy to me. I've also noticed how much I have an embodied experience of cycles, almost like an innate awareness of astrological timing. I'll often plan things out and feel very strongly that I need to make a decision by X month, and have an outcome by Y month. And then I see and that fully aligns with a Mercury retrograde cycle, or something like that. Thank you for putting out this kind of content for free, it really is amazing for newbies such as myself to start getting the ropes of the trade and experimenting with it 💛
I enjoy all of the episodes, but I've been waiting for this for a long time. I loved all of the Saturnian discussion as I have 5 placements in Capricorn and 3 in Aquarius.
Haha, this episode on Capricorn took me the longest to get through and there was so much valuable knowledge . One of my sisters is a Cap Sun. just thinking about that placement in relation to the rest of the family provided many insights. And I agree re the Honeycomb Collective almanac. My favorite artist in that group is Maya N., and this is the third almanac I’ve purchased. My partner has given a couple to his friends. Even if they can’t read it themselves, it makes for a very impressive and a gift that’s not not too expensive for everything that can be included.
Saturn - Time, Elderly, Reality check, Sacrifice, Narrow Path to the peak, dedicated, achievement, mines, quarry, Stingy, pride in suffering/austerity, minimalism, high standards, earning, allergic to entitlement, Mastery, frugal 1:17:00 I’m not going to accept criticism from someone who’s doing worst than me 😂 1:29:10 Aquarius rising - forced into maturity

Never met a mountain I didn't love climbing :-) Capricorn sun, but also Mars and Mercury in Capricorn in the 11th. Pisces rising and Leo moon. I think it's the perfect blend for success--at least it has served me well. Interesting discussion about Capricorns being negative. I can clearly see what won't work or what is wrong with something, but that's a positive to me. I know where to not waste my time or find a way to fix what's wrong. I am a really good copy editor :-)
Awesome podcast. I have natal Saturn in Pisces with Capricorn in 10th & 11th houses. Every 20 years Saturn kicks my ass for 8 years consecutively. It's brutal. Thankfully, I'm about to enter into my second Saturn RX, which means only 2 1/2 more years before I feel a MASSIVE sigh of release and subsequent relief. During these transits I experience massive internal & external transformation as my Sag moon, Aries Sun, Aries in 1st house and Mars in Aries transform under great pressures to create structures and give form to all that is envisioned in the stellium of 5 planets/asteroids I have in Pisces. The constant successive whipping of Saturn affirms Aries as the Eternal Child in, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger (in body/mind/spirit)" Thanks to Saturn & Capricorn I'm becoming a Ninja Warrior of Change & Transformation.
it really is brutal ( I sometimes feel it is a never ending kicking in the ass) :-) had my saturn return in LIbra (passing over mars and pluto too, opposing venus(, then going over moon in sagg opposing mercury, then going over my ascedent squaring my venus, then now in Aqua squaring my Jupiter MC scorpio and taurus Sun, Chiron and Ic and progressed venus and moon When it will enter pisces it will square my natal moon and progressed moon, when it will enter Aries it will conjunct my venus, oppose my mars saturn pluto in libra and square my ASC, when it goes to Taurus it will conjunct my sun, Ic , Chiron and when it ingresses to gemini it will conjunct my mercury and oppose my moon uranus in sagg. I am tired from typing it.😭
3:04:40 but also remember the anticia between Capricorn and Sagittarius. Like in a very real way, the extroverted jovially and the reserved dour pessimism are two sides of the same coin. They’re both Momento Mori. It’s just one is eat drink and be merry for tomorrow you may die.

This was my favorite episode of the series and I don't have any placements in Capricorn. I do, however, have Saturn in Virgo in the 10th as my only angular planet, so this episode was amazing to listen to. Also the descriptions of all the signs and how they may differ from Saturn/Capricorn helped me understand my chart more in relation to the houses each sign occupies. Everything was so sharp and on point!
I’ve noticed Capricorn are able to restrict or deprive or constraint themselves to the bare minimum for prolonged period of time if necessary in order to achieve what they want.
the three earth signs i see as taurus is the soil and the land that's feminine and fertile, virgo is the fauna that's mutable and ever changing, and capricorn is metals and precious stones made from pressure over time and holds value
Thanks for letting us know about the astro almanacs by Honeycomb. I just checked them out and they look fantastic. I ordered mine and look forward to using it!
I have Capricorn Rising and I feel like everything mentioned tracks with how I perceive things. Thank you for the in-depth examples and metaphors relating to Capricorns.
Gold in the earth and vast riches from things beneath the ground is Pluto's realm. Gold being put to use, such as being used in electrical components is more Capricorn. "I use" is Capricorn. Practical application is Capricorn.
Been waiting for this and it’s finally here!!! Sun (1st decan), Mercury, IC and Mars in Capricorn 4th house. This and Libra (rising) are my stellium houses.
hey fellas! Im a capricorn sun, gemini rising- its my birthday tomorrow 😌 to be earth & air, or saturn & mercury at the same time is a lil weird o.0 I do adore saturn, but Im happy to also have mercury to lightening a lot of things up, if you feel me... things/life has been tough the past few years, it still is actually. so Im taking the current planetary quality as a big chance to set things up👌 time is running, life is short- but night is so lovely dark❤ Ive got saturn, jupiter & pluto at the 5th house... so.......
Wonderful podcast and I'm sorry to nitpick. But as for the example of the cheap boyfriend: is that really Cap behavior? I've never known a Capricorn sun to be cheap with loved ones at key times like holidays or birthdays. I think the material provider side of Cap manifests more as generosity, ie "You can feel safer because you have me and I will provide." In fact, giving gifts is probably one of the more common and easier love languages for this sign.
I watched this early and will watch again. I have 6 Capricorn placements in my 6th house also part of the Neptune Uranus Saturn generation and this is an amazing episode.
I love how Diana and Madeline just had fun with their Capri inside jokes, lol. This is one of the signs that I've enjoyed the most, I thought it was going to have a more solemn tone to it, but they just had fun, and it had a nice flow. Loved their insights. Cheers from México!
Love it, thanks! Also, as a Cap Sun, Mercury, Venus, Nept in the 6th, I think I'm going to save the part about the "compliments" to not give to capricorns and handle it to all my family, friends&co. The burn out is real!
@42:49 This section about not being part of the problem, recycling, restricting, consolidating, it feeling sinful etc, had been such a massive personal mantra since I was young. It relates heavily to the perception of Capricorns having a lot of money. It's not that they're necessarily rich, it's that they don't spend it frivolously and may inevitably have more as a result.
Yes! In racing, one of the key skills is to combine brake and throttle and vary their relationship by degrees over time to maximize speed in each sector in order to maximize speed over the entire course! You said it well! 2:20:14 (ref. trail braking)
Brilliant talk but I’d like to add a couple of my own observations about capricorns not mentioned. Capricorns are often very aesthetically aware. The economy and austerity in fashion translates into CHIC or elegance. I’ve known many Capricorns who have exquisitely good taste and are highly developed sense of style and decor. Look at David Bowie or Marlene Dietrich. Both known for their incredible style. Capricorn pared it down so the style is not extravagant or ostentatious. Everything is beautifully balanced. And as we all know black is used extensively by Capricorns always to great effect. Saturn is exalted in libra so this beats out the idea that Capricorns appreciate beauty especially beauty with gravitas, such as antiques and vintage items.
Capricorns are like diamonds. They go through the worst pressure (and pain), but they can be extremely resilient and builders of things that are long lasting and that seem impossible to be done by some people.

My boyfriend is a Gemini and he loves that quality about me, which is lucky to me. He thinks it’s hilarious and he genuinely respects my perspectives. I’m a natural at it!
me too ! - fellow " Cappie " always finding ways tgo improve upon things !!!😃😉
My first return was so brutal I am genuinely scared of this one but trying not to be 😬
HAPPY 😊 CAPPI ☀️🌞HERE. CAPRICORN ♑ NATION GANG 😎GANG. MY SOLAR RETURN WAS YESTERDAY 1/12 76.. Gemini ♊ MARS ♂ and 12th 🏘
FINALLY!!! As someone with a north node in Capricorn, I've been waiting for this!!!
Art is 99 percent perspiration, and one percent inspiration!
Capricorn moon and my late father was a Capricorn sun sign, we didn't get on until later in his life, just like before he passed away, so this will be interesting. He worked hard, played hard and died hard, he was extremely hard working and never gave up, very courageous, witty, dry, sarcastic...and into everything!
Oh dang!! So true! I have always thought I need financial security for myself only because I have children and that if not for them I would live the barest existence just to be careful to not be attached! Yes!
anyone else observe the cappy/saturn symbols in Madeline's background? ie. the hour glass (father time) and the picture of the skull (bones) Aqua rising here with Saturn in Pisces. Thank you for this deep dive
I noticed the hourglass right away! Cap stellium 9th house - Sun,Mercury,Jupiter and Saturn, plus MC 🪐
Best value for time spent absorbing - deeply satisfying episode, thanks for the insights y'all!
Namaste, Chris and ladies. amazing work all 3 of you, the insights and expressions on a new modern level. Capricorn my 2house. I listen to each word, Thank you again. awaiting the next.
Thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Wow Amazing amazing “work” thank you all, absolutely thrilling to watch
Thanks Chris, you are the biggest and the most formal source of Western Astrology content in the world on TH-cam. It is time for astrology to be treated and regarded with respect, seriousness, and consideration just like any other academic field. I firmly dislike the common notion that astrology is only for entertainment purposes rather than for educational means.
The examples of Capricorn frugality are spot on. Chris, I would love it if you decide to do the houses (you mentioned at the end).
Thank you soo much for bringing up the stereotyping!! Im a cap sun (scorpio rising aries moon, venus in sag in the second house and a life path #5) So such eye-rolling as readers etc constantly associate me with the corporate world/ corporate structures- im a Capricorn mystic.
me too - I'm rich with Spiritual Awareness😉😃
Such a great video articulated clearly on complex concepts - thank you team :) I resonated with a lot of the Capricornian keywords and you've helped me understand myself even more deeply (for example why my Venus Sagi/intuitive, wild, free and heart-driven voice conflicts with my Sun and stellium in Capi at times)!
Thank you all, this was such a great episode, one of the best! I never expected to laugh so much with all that Capricornian energy on show 😂🤣
Been waiting for this episode!
Thank you for putting out this kind of content for free, it really is amazing for newbies such as myself to start getting the ropes of the trade and experimenting with it 💛
This deep dives are my favorite episodes!!!
Was a great episode, especially to hear Madeline talk about Honeycomb almanac.
19:55
I’ve never heard my relationship with my father (Leo ♌️, Jupiter in Sagittarius) and myself expressed so succinctly.
This has been my favorite episode, so charmed by Diana and Madeline. Def not because I have a Capricorn stellium on my descendant ;)
Awesome episode. Honestly excited for the Aquarius episode as a Saturn Aquarius.
Saame. I have my sun and Saturn in aquarius
Saturn - Time, Elderly, Reality check, Sacrifice, Narrow Path to the peak, dedicated, achievement, mines, quarry, Stingy, pride in suffering/austerity, minimalism, high standards, earning, allergic to entitlement, Mastery, frugal
1:17:00 I’m not going to accept criticism from someone who’s doing worst than me 😂
1:29:10 Aquarius rising - forced into maturity
Thank you for your dedication and diligence, Chris! 💚🙌🏾 Your podcast has helped me significantly, in regards to liberating myself from rigid worldviews. The structure of your episodes is second to none. The replay-value on your videos is very high. In a age where content is getting shorter, it is refreshing to tune into content that goes deeper than the norm. Salute to you and your team. Your work is very much appreciated. Sincerely, a Whole Sign 6th House Aquarius Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars. 💜🌞
Love this series! Maybe the next series you could go in depth on the twelve houses?!
WOW!! I stumbled upon your show, this is fantastic, an entire show about ME!! You had me at finally coming up with the funds and talked yourself into buying the tickets for Hamilton because you love your mother so much, love it!
The three of you have a tremendous chemistry. Dive deep for 30 minutes into any topic once a week at the same time and I will be your #1 fan.. Thank you!
Thank you for the podcast! I wish you added some time stamps to your older zodiac videos, like cancer 🥺
I'm CAPRICORN my husband was a Cancer. My husband was the nurture of our kids. YA'LL are so on point. I'm was loving mom and still is..long marriage 45 before he passed ❤❤❤❤
Superiority in the martyrdom. Capricorn Moon and Mercury here. Mom, Sister, and Son all Capricorn Sun.
I always had a deep respect for Capricorn ♑️. It’s thier ambitious nature that qualified for leadership.
Thank you for the great discussion! Found myself nodding along and saying "YES!" throughout.
You covered so much ground in this one. I loved the synergy between the two guests. Thank you so much for educating me!
WOW! What a brilliant discussion! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
the three earth signs i see as taurus is the soil and the land that's feminine and fertile, virgo is the fauna that's mutable and ever changing, and capricorn is metals and precious stones made from pressure over time and holds value
These zodiac sign podcasts are great. One on the house would be a great idea too!:)
There is soooo much good insights of Capricorn ♑️ ! Fantastic
LOVE this - Aries Sun here with Mars in Cap trine Venus in Taurus. Love the Cap energy = admirable to me.
Gold in the earth and vast riches from things beneath the ground is Pluto's realm. Gold being put to use, such as being used in electrical components is more Capricorn. "I use" is Capricorn. Practical application is Capricorn.
This is an excellent discussion by each of the speakers, who are wonderful examples of masters of astrological understanding. Bravo!
Been waiting for this and it’s finally here!!!
Sun (1st decan), Mercury, IC and Mars in Capricorn 4th house. This and Libra (rising) are my stellium houses.
As a Capricorn, I’ve enjoyed this mentally stimulating conversation using intellectual articulation.
Accurate. Shopkeeper is a description I haven’t heard or used before but so spot on! Capricorn will analyze value like no other.
Love this episode. So good!!! I think it’s my favorite and the only Capricorn placement I have is the MC with Saturn in Gemini in the 3rd ^_^
as a Gem with Cap rising & Sat in Libra really appreciate one of the best podcasts, great duo, so humorous
Really enjoying these series, thank you. Love the guests and discussions, and Capricorn suns.
Cheers from México!
im a capricorn so i pressed this and then i realized there is a Diana in the video! made me smile
I'm excited! I've been waiting for this 🙌
Love it, thanks!
Been waiting so long for this one !!!
Such beautiful imagery in the poetic expression you three have created together. Thank you for deepening my awareness of Capricorn!
I have been searching for the words to conceptualize saturn in 8th house Leo for years. This was the perfect explanation, thank you.
I have 0 Cap placements and it's always been rather enigmatic and opaque to me and this was wildly helpful for me to grasp the energy
