I feel for the kids with autism since I have autism too and change is really hard. Maybe they initially are upset because a space they are so familiar with has changed so much. I always wonder how much they tell the kids when they leave their house for the last time, I would have a complete emotional meltdown if I came home and didn’t know everything was gonna be different

Sorry that you had it rough when you were a teenager. But it's in the past now. Yes, it's hard to let go and move on, but we should always count our blessings. Good luck to you. Wish you a long, happy, healthy life.

Loved the space that you created for this amazing family. The only thing that kept bothering me was referring the two sons with autism as being a "bad luck" situation. While it is a different step in the journey I would not consider children as back luck. George and George to the Rescue is absolutely fantastic and I just think it is important to realize the impact of language so we can move from creating stereotypes and negativity towards special needs.

Great transformations! I enjoy watching the children's reactions, especially the two with autism. They probably won't want to come out of that sensory room. The 13 year old probably won't want to leave his room either. Perhaps they could have left the TVs out of the rooms but everything else was just perfect.

As an autistic adult, I'd like to push back on an autism diagnosis being automatically seen as "bad luck"... This perpetuates a lot of stereotypes and stigmas. We all need to actively do better with our language.

Hi George, that is a great sensory/bedroom for the two boys.
As you could see, the boys absolutely loved it and started playing and swinging as soon as they seen the room.
That there shows the great job you did with the transformation plus the excitement from the 13yr old too on his room also.
Great job to you and your team

Possibly could have been in relationship to where the septic (if there is one) was located. Don't know why they don't check on that stuff at the beginning before building. You know everything has to be passed by some kind of inspection or permit.
