Is there a downside to using a small flex rod on a client who could potentially use a medium or large? Is there an ideal lash tip placement point on the rod that would yield the best curl?
What happens is the the lashes will curl almost into a circle shape if that makes sense and they end up being smushed against the eyelid. I made that mistake when doing it to myself lol
Hi lovely! You want to aim for around the 3/4 of the way up the rod when measuring, for a really nice curl. If you want an extra dramatic curl and are going to size down, just make sure the tips aren't kinking over the top - or just ensure you don't place the lotions on this area. Hope that help! :)
How should I think when I have a client with long lashes? Where the lashes passes both s,m,l ? I want a dramatic lift but not over bend offcourse. How do I know if the shields are to small? Also, when do you recommend rods before shields?😊
Hi Rebeca! Generally you want to aim for the lashes to come up around 3/4 way up the rod when you are measuring. Our elleebana flex rod comes with an Extra large rod, which may be beneficial for those who have super long lashes.
Here is a blog post that goes over the difference between rods and shields: elleebana.com/elleebana-flex-rods-vs-flex-shields-choosing-the-right-tool-for-flawless-lash-lifts/
Amazing tips! Thank you so much!
🥰
