    The way both of you guys bring your A game to these evaluations is much appreciated. Talking about why you add a shaft to your matrix is reassuring as a customer.
    Really enjoying the new gear you guys found for me this year.

    An excellent vlog showing the differences in the varying stiffness of shafts from the same manufacturer, and how the weight differences in the same series can be used to help various players of different levels.

    I just put Drago into my g425 3 wood based off of your guys assessment of the shaft and your review is dead on accurate.

    Your backdrop of the shaft wall is impressive. Graphite shafts have been around for a while yet there doesn't seem to much info on the evoulution of graphite shafts. Info on the differences between early graphite shafts compared to today's graphite shafts may be helpful in making purchasing choices. It would make for a good informative video.

    Got fit into a TS2 with Drago 65 four after watching your review. So much better than my previous D2 with stock rogue silver 60 which was a great driver for me already. So stable i gained 25 yards on on my mishits which I did not think was possible. Thanks for what you guys do with this channel.

    I have VA Drago shafts in my driver and 3-wood. LOVE them and would never have gotten to try them if I didn't get fit.

    The intros get better each video you put out. I check youtube every morning when I wake up to see if there is a new video out. Great content guys. Keep it up! One of these days I'll make it up there from Texas for a fit.

    My local Club Champion store carries them and I know they had a lot of success with the Drago shaft with a lot of their customers.The times I was in the store either getting fit or picking up my clubs I always saw people having success with that Drago shaft when I watched them hit it

    Interesting content here. I’ve played the Rajin in my driver for about 7-8 months. It is a great performer.

    I was fitted into the VA Slay in my Rogue Driver and Fairway Wood in March. Love them in the fairway woods. Ended up with a UST V2 in the Driver. V2 was more stable.

    This is for those looking to test the drago. I just got fit into the TS3 with PX 6.0 evenflow. I swing 101-105 warmed up. Carry was 248ish total around 269-271 with roll. Same numbers with Epic flash. A buddy recommend the Drago for my new TS3 and WOW! Carry 273 total 298 with roll. Swing speed jumped up a little best of all, very straight. Never gave it back.

      Miguel Garza Which Evenflow did you get fit into mate? I’m in a similar boat and would love to try the Drago. How’s it stacking up a few months down the line?

    I just got fit for a Mavrik driver with the Drago shaft. It's interesting because my club speed with the driver is only about 98-100 so perhaps you might not think this is a good fit for me. However, I'm hitting it with more ball speed and carry distance than my previous driver (original Epic head with stock Rogue shaft). Most importantly however is that my dispersion is considerably better and it's really helped me reduce the pulls and hooks. I guess it's supposed to be the stiffest of the VA shafts but it feels very smooth to me. Definitely a winner!

    I’ve been playing a Slay in stiff flex on my 9.5 M3 since July and it’s great for moderate swing speed and let’s me shape it a little. Averaging about 240-250 with 100mph driver.

    Like this TXG. It targets the real golfer in the global golfing community. Victor's is the man! The player profile should be the makers starting point. I am 100kgs, 183cm with SwSp of 95-105mph, and struggled to avoid people following marketing hipe. Hence why my swing became so adaptive. Q: Have TXG or has Victor produced a matrix of player profile versus shafts type?

    • @clubchampionmedia
      @clubchampionmedia  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most companies will have rough guidelines in their literature about the type of players that a shaft will fit - but there are so many variables that it's up to the fitter to diagnose what an individual would do well with. Ian's got that database between his ears at the moment, there's definitely a bit of an art to it so likely not something that would be easy to put into any kind of template or matrix.

  • @zacharymilos392
    @zacharymilos392 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ian, what shaft out there would be most similar to the Raijin? I've heard the Oban Devotion is pretty close... anything else?

  • @zacharymilos392
    @zacharymilos392 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great vid guys! Love this new shaft testing format. Ian, didn't know where else to ask, but turns out you have to go to FL on the 8th instead of late in the day on the 9th, which means you won't be around for our fitting in afternoon of the 9th. Is there a way to get some feedback from you after to see what you think about my fitting results?

    That intro with Matt with various shafts is awesome. Aside from these shafts spec, I really like the design of these shafts. Not sure if you guys know of it but try google "Aldo Drudi", he designed many of AGV helmets, even for Valentino Rossi. I would really love to see more of these fun designs on golf shafts, I'm sure it would brighten the golf world a bit more. Great videos guys. You guys are getting better and better.

    I bought a Ping G410 Plus which came with a Drago 75/5. Too heavy and stiff for me but it feels amazing, I wonder if the 65 S or even 55S is just as stable. Came from a Aldila X-Torsion Copper in a G400 LST and the Drago is a lot more stable, much straighter and about 15yds shorter

    Can a kick point be lowered on an existing shaft with lead tape? I have Kira kaye iron shafts in A flex and still lack the height I want. About 75 mph ss. With 7 iron

    seems like shafts that are more suited for players with a bit lower speed.. By the way, did @Ian, did you know that ´Mattie´ is streetlanguage for friend

    @justinstephenson9360 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    This may be a stupid question but...
    I can understand how to switch shafts in most woods but can you also do the same with irons & hybrids which have glued in shafts (if that is the right term). The reason I ask is the pro I am taking lessons from is trying to significantly improve my club head speed (7i from 77mph to 86-87 mph). So it is likely that the regular Taylor Made stock graphite shaft in my M1s might not be the right shaft if I actually achieve what the pro is trying to get me to do

    • @1b0o0
      @1b0o0 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Justin Stephenson unless you have the equipment to reshaft your irons (which is quite expensive and requires a lot of craftsmanship) you should take your clubs to your local fitter / club maker.

    • @tylergrove7700
      @tylergrove7700 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Justin Stephenson it’s pretty easy to take your clubs apart. The harder part is putting them back together properly. Your pro should know a club builder in your area that can do the work for you. If you want to do it yourself all you need is new ferrels (black piece above the head), a propane torch, epoxy, acetone, and some shop towels.

    • @clubchampionmedia
      @clubchampionmedia  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can definitely have the shafts switched out in woods and hybrids, at a local club builder

  • @oliverizzard8751

    Truthfully comes down to coolness and marketing... Which is good enough cause customers buy it. Heck sometimes all you need to do to sell something is make it more expensive.

    I don't have clubs that have removable shafts, so I'm wondering if all of the head fasteners are uniform for connecting heads to shafts? i. e. the Callaway fastener is the same dimension as the Taylor Made fastener and these tools are interchangeable.

    • @clubchampionmedia
      @clubchampionmedia  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The shaft to head adapter are all different across different manufacturers.

    • @CoryLancasterYT
      @CoryLancasterYT 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do y'all use the conex/universal adapters? Or do you have to have multiples of each shat in each company's tip (TM/Titleist/Callaway/Ping/etc)?

    4:00 high carbon content, low resin content feels better? What doe the resin do exactly?

    • @JJ-lm4pg
      @JJ-lm4pg 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Resin just keeps each layer of carbon together, less resin is often related to better performance and feel.
