I looked on the Mohave County Assessor site. Most of the standing houses are owned by Imperial Investments Three, and the property is classified as SALVAGE RESIDENTIAL. I didn't do a deep dive, but anyone can go on the county website and retrieve this. I don't think the taxes are delinquent, the owner(s) are just sitting it out. The "No Trespassing" signs clear them of liabilities if anyone is hurt. Silver Ranch Corp, and Imperial Investments own the parcels. Bordered on the west by State Land, on the east by Federal Land, on the south by State Land.
These houses give you a fairly decent look at the quality of materials builders like to use to save money. They can generally pocket any money they don't spend based on their bid. Just because a house is big and costs a million dollars does not mean it is actually a luxury home. You do not skimp on materials for a truly luxury home. People in that market often know the difference and will move on. Hollow-core doors, cheap OSB for framing, polystyrene trim, etc. are some of the ways builders will give you the illusion of a luxury home, but they usually have problems in a short amount of time. By then, the builder is long gone with their money and doesn't care. It is a sad fact of the industry. Caveat Emptor!
haha, I know what you mean, and If the homeless started to inhabit these places they would go down the drain pretty quick, I mean, I know they arent %100, but when it comes to homeless people " nothing against them" but they really bring down the cleanliness in places, and dont really seem to care for keeping places in upmost tip top shape.......

There are some that alcohol is their first priority and the there are some just giving up on themselves cause already know aren’t gonna be viewed any different than already are as ya kinda just did. It like the song MrWendl goes don’t give up on an old bum till you really get to know one. I met one about a month ago really wanted to go to college but was denied looked at like he wasn’t smart enough. BTW you forgot to knock at the last house. LOL
Aside from just irresponsible people vandalizing the properties, one of the main reasons they are in this condition is someone came through and stripped all the copper from the walls. That is a primary reason why they look like Swiss cheese. Most people do not know how wiring is routed, so they just break holes around the receptacles and switches looking for the wire.
I've been there, probably in '21 or '22. Theres another house across 93 thats part of Silverado ranch too. The guy in that house came out to chase me off but ended up telling me how he bought all of it and plans on fixing them up, after he low key threatened to shoot me lol.
same here! they are attractive nuisances. For me I just a kick out of trying to imagine families that lived there, what they did, what things looked like before they became abandoned....its the unknown that pulls me in. Never been to Detroit, but I watched the movie 8 Mile back in the day and it looked like Detroit has a lot of abandoned buildings.....would be right up my alley!

Possibly, but there is a question whether or not there is some ground contamination that may have contributed to the abandonment.
