Very similar style as Korda’s strokes. I hope his coach improves his charisma on court, as I’m sure his techniques will be very solid in a few years. Would be interested to see head to head match with other Asian super stars, like Kwon or Nishioka.
He definitely has lived in English-speaking countries for some time. I wouldn’t be surprised if he went to a tennis academy at a young age. He basically has native level English with a slight accent.
@@pantethine66 Correct. The USA system of taxation based on citizenship is the most onerous in the world. More and more Americans renounce their citizenship each year to escape the ball-and-chain that American citizenship attaches to you.
Very skeptical of Shang. He’s a left handed version of Tseng Chun-Hsin. Short and no big serve and the same weaknesses. Don’t think he can survive the main ATP tour. The Big boys will eat them up.
Lol no he's much more powerful than Tseng and serves much better. He's 17 years old and already has many top 100 wins to his name so Idk why you think he can't make the ATP.
It clearly says in the description "star in the making" not that he's already a "superstar". Every current superstar started from somewhere. They don't just appear out thin air. Hence the term 'star in the making'. It just means that he has a promising career ahead of him.
I hit with him once a while ago back when he was at ASC love him so much hopefully he will have an amazing career

What a delightful video and nice introduction to Jerry. I wish you the best and hope you have a wonderful career!
He should follow in Bernie tomics footsteps
Shang has talent in sports as his parents were athletes. Wish he will be top 20 male tennis player in future.
Nice guy. Conducts himself appropriately. Rooting for him.

Shang has mad talent but he needs to improve his durability. Injury seems to be his biggest enemy as of late.
That’s not a good sign. Burnout
Tomic better
@@EL-kf9vi he’s 17 you bum lol
Don't forget he's still quite immature. He smashed his racket during his match against Jordan thompson last year.
