The first house would have been awesome to have lived there. Love the portico and porch. The second house was creepy inside. Thank you for sharing your adventure Steve!!
Thanks for sharing this video with me i really enjoyed about ABANDONED Pennhurst Mansion: Inside the Home of Dr. Fear it was a real good Explore . and i gave you a thumbs up and shared you out on my community tab my friend and God Bless.
8:34 The lovely practical 1900s staircase would take my mind back over 100 years it has so much presence and i love the circa 1940s green carpet my grandparents had the same carpet in there house.
Pennhurst is still there, although today it's not the same as it used to be. They run a haunted house on the property during the Halloween months and call it Pennhurst Asylum. Pennhurst was never called an Asylum. Going back to the early 2000s when I first started exploring Pennhurst, it was much better of a place to see for those who like abandoned buildings. There was no haunted house and the buildings were untouched. Today they knocked down a few of them including these two houses
Obviously the mansion has a dark history but what did you think of the house. I thought it was actually in pretty decent shape for how long it's been vacant. Would you live in a house like that?
@@dorothrawalker1389 it was said that some were just set free into the area to figure out life on their own. Others went to local hospitals. Overall the state failed them
I live only about 20 minutes from Pennhurst. My husband was “stationed” there in 2010 when he did his National Guard duty so I was able to walk around and take some pictures outside of the buildings. I actually caught the image of a young woman in the window but didn’t realize it until I was going through the pictures years later.
Any way get permission film/photo paupers cemetery? I took paid history tour there and was informed its off limits I know where it is but respect boundaries
Happy Thursday. Take a tour with me through this amazing mansion at Pennhurst as well as the doctor's house. Have a great week.
The mansion and Doctors house seemed comfortable and well appointed. Such a different situation for the patients. Thank You for sharing.
@@colleenvogt2615 yes. Those houses were nothing like the buildings down the hill. Thanks for watching

Your videos are refreshing. Urbex true to its roots.
@@tomi2i2000 thank you so much
I don't know if anyone one felt it yet though whole video I felt weird like there was either unrest or evil or both.
A lot of evil happened at Pennhurst
@@AbandonedSteve -as did most other asylums, except maybe for Allentown, which has also been demolished...
@@tankerman135 treatments were definitely different back in the day.
@@AbandonedSteve wonder what happened to the patients when they closed. I know about one they tore down and found graves in the basement.

House #1. Why, Why is this once Grand Beauty now abandoned & let go like it is: Thank you for sharing........... House #2, Really rough shape..
@@ndog2005 I agree. Thanks for watching
It's too bad it was torn down. These big old houses have more character than any new McMansion built today.
@susanbissell6319 yes they do. Thanks for watching
Very interesting
Thanks. I think this is one of the most interesting abandoned places I've been to.
❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you
Meant, typed salvageable!!

Not sure about Paupers Cemetery.
Supt house salvaged
Does state still own this property?
No, they do not. They sold the property in 2008
I think the houses are haunted!
@@conniejohnson290 very well could be haunted
