Hi Ethan, Paul here and I'm from sweden . And I am a new wiewer at your videos. And you are great , so natural, no cursing, respect for other people. And the other filmers are great to. But you were my first choice and thats it. Great video this one as always.
Ethan this is a beautiful home ❤. I don't understand why it is going to be demolished 😢. Very well kept home and built better than the new builds these days. I would love this home! Thanks for sharing. One of my favorites 😍.
I really like this house. Not too many extra wasted space rooms. I love the retro blue bathroom ❤ Very nice house. Thank you for sharing Ethan 😊 Merry Christmas to you and your family 😊😊😊
I love this house, Kept up very well! I’d buy it before a new one! Things were made to last back then. It’s a shame to take something this special for a huge ugly new one! Thank you for sharing
Percy was junior locomotive and was Thomas best friend and chief Gordon was main member of the locomotive team which helped the little guys out 😊 funny Ethan that was one of my favorites growing up they were all in the island of sodor. Wow !! Good call. I like this house alot the layout is sweet and nice floors would have been more expansive if there were more sunlight tho? But yeah still beautiful house!! Damn it’s only 12 degrees here in Manhattan where I live it’s feeezing!!! Hope you and Noah stay warm !! Love ya buddy and thanks for the cool explore vid. You rock !!! 😊 happy Christmas 🎄 and stay safe!! 😊
Shhh... the dark green isn't outdated, it's just peoples' good taste in wall colours that are! 😉I believe they left that blue bathroom alone because they knew the tile in there was awesome, and that was a terrific decision, though they probably should've passed on the bidet (i don't like where it is). I love that you took a moment to really stop and get a good look at the light fixture in the main bedroom, because gosh it's so pretty!! Thank you for taking us along, and hope you have a safe & happy holiday! 😊🎄☃
Love that you found a classic colour you loved and stayed with it. I really feel like it's a classic colour you can't go wrong with (and easy to match with other colours too). ☺
The front green room is the Living Room, which would have been fairly formal. That back room with the fireplace would have been called the Family Room in the 70's. This is where the family would have had the Christmas tree, for example. The adults would socialize in the Living Room, while the kids would hang out in the Family Room. That basement bathroom was probably for the Nanny as there is a huge bathroom as well.
16:00 yes you're right it is Percy 🙂 21:45 yes basements are better when they're finished. I have a very small basement unfinished and it's creepy. This was a nice house.
I have that same intercom in my house that was built in 1979 and that my late husband and I bought in 1982. For me, getting rid of that intercom, thus creating a huge hole in it's wake, is not worth the cost repairing the big gaping hole. Same can be said of the speakers all around my house including the front door and garage. I was quite proud of the system because I could play music throughout the house when cleaning or when company came. Then, one day in the early eighties I turned the system on, and, nothing happened. The dial lit up but there was no sound. Unfortunately, my husband thought it would be cool to attach a large speaker to the system. That was to much to ask of our Nutone system. Never did use the intercom part. Great video. Thanks.
These living rooms were considered a formal living room. The lower would’ve been called the family room when this house was built. I’m impressed by how dry that basement is, it looks like it’s never seen a day moisture at all. Sad to think that these homes are being done away with.
Hi Ethan..love the retro bathroom...nice house...your so right about miserable people...thanks for the tour Ethan..stay safe well and happy..MERRY XMAS Ethan 🎄⛄️💋
That blue tile may actually be newer than you think. A lot of people nowadays will pay extra to have tiles custom made to look like old tiles. I’m seeing that a lot in homes that are being renovated where I live.
The front room that is more for company is the living room and the back room used for the family and entertainment is the family room in the US. Don't know if it's different in Canada.
I'd say this does illustrate the difference in what NHL players made back in the 70's compared to today. I don't know anything about hockey but I'm guessing the top players are paid millions and millions whereas, in the 70's and 80's NHL players were probably paid on par with an average doctor or lawyer, etc, and not on a par with rock stars, movie stars, etc, as they are today. Great video. Thanks.
80s players definitely earned enough o buy beach mansions. I worked in Real estate in the 80s and 90s in Avalon NJ and we had more than a few buy beach and bay front multi million dollar homes.
i think league minimum now is like $800k for an nhl contract. this particular player joined the toronto maple leafs in 1976 and had this house built in 78-79, and from what i can find his salary for the 78-79 season was just over $57,000. the average price of a house in toronto in 1978 was around $60,000.
The house I grew up in (that my parents bought in the early 70s when I was about 3 years old) had a double front door like that. The foyer was "double wide" too. My parents thought it was wasted space, so my dad remodeled it to have just a single front door, a more narrow foyer and closets. I don't really remember when it was double because I was so young. But we have photos!
😍 What a fantastick house . I would take down the curtains , paint & change the kitchen counter top & leave the rest as is . Great find Ethan , as usual . That being said , why oh why DID you open that fridge Ethan , why do so many do that when you're 99.9 % sure it's gonna smell like a donkey's crotch ? See you next time . 😎
That Hunter‘s Green makes the large and more formal room even darker as it is. The curtains successfully suck up the least bit of light too. You can only pull this green colour off if the room has dark wooden furnitures with colourful cushions and tons of paintings at the wall and some more light sources here and there. Think English club. All in all the house has been taken care of really well but for me the windows are way too small. Everything looks a bit dim and dark. I really don‘t like bedrooms in a basement. Maybe as a guest bedroom but I would never put a family member in a basement, next to a furnace and cold storage and what not. Can anyone explain why Italians have a second kitchen in basements, just why, what for. You certainly don‘t want to take hot meals, plates, pots upstairs.
It's a nice old house how to build very well from the looks of it. But there's just something creepy about old houses I never want to live in one even if it was modernized is it still wouldn't want to
@ethanminnie apparently you don't like constructive criticism. Its all good. People have the attention spans of gnats nor do a lot of us have time to sit through a 20 minute video of something that could be done in half the time.
Not too shabby. Great house, thank you

Ethan this is a beautiful home ❤. I don't understand why it is going to be demolished 😢. Very well kept home and built better than the new builds these days. I would love this home! Thanks for sharing. One of my favorites 😍.
Damn, if I had the money and a cleaning staff, I would buy the house as is as it is a rare gem of a house.
That was a nice clean, tidy house! A damn shame if that gets torn down! Nice video Ethan!
I really like this house. Not too many extra wasted space rooms.
I love the retro blue bathroom ❤
Very nice house. Thank you for sharing Ethan 😊 Merry Christmas to you and your family 😊😊😊

Yet another beautiful home! Heck i could definitely live there!!
Have a lovely Christmas with your family, Ethan, and thank you for the awesome exploration of this classic 70s house .

I agree with you on the dark green walls, we still have it in our living room and dining room also. I just know what I like and don’t follow trends.

I like this house, it has a nice feeling to it
No intro or out-tro. I really like the history or back stories with each house.

Very beautiful house & very spacious! Awesome video as always Ethan! 👍👍❤️✊🤘
That place is pretty clean considering
For a older home it's in wonderful condition. Very well built.

It's it Wayne Gregsky thanks Ethan.
Percey was the trains name. I liked Thomas too
Beautiful. All the memories...😢
I used to know all the Thomas trains when my son was young. But I’ve forgotten. It probably is Percy I think.
Wow. They really took care of that place. Merry Christmas E!
Gorgeous house! Thanks for the tour. Merry Christmas ❤
Merry Christmas Ethan I hope you have a wonderful in a safe Christmas and this house is nice I enjoy it🎄
That bathroom up stairs is beautiful! I’d left it to! That’s coming back! All these colors
That blue tile may actually be newer than you think. A lot of people nowadays will pay extra to have tiles custom made to look like old tiles. I’m seeing that a lot in homes that are being renovated where I live.
Someone must have lived here it’s awfully clean to be abandoned
😂😂😅 ALWAYS A RANDOM CHAIR 🪑🪑💺💺 CRAZY , WHAT'S UP FROM TEXAS ETHAN LOVE YOU❤!!!
Great house! Doesn't have to be big to enjoy it. Until the next one!
Ewww! Don’t ever open the damn fridges or freezers! 🤣🤣🤢🤮
From Virginia a great video Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you and your family, have a Blessed holiday.
The house looks like it was built in the 60's. Especially, because of the ceiling border at the top of the curtains, to hide the top of the curtains.
Happy holidays Ethan!!! Keep em coming for 2025!!!😊😊😊
16:08 Percy is green yes. Edward and Gordon are blue
Hi Ethan!❤
I love the blue bathroom 🎉
Merry Christmas Ethan ✌️
Ethan, is this beautiful home in Canada? Are all the homes that you show in Canada?❤
That retro bathroom is beautiful. Blue & white color scheme, Maple Leaf player perhaps? Just needs a bit of cleaning. Such a shame if it's torn down.
Awesome house.

Nice house. I wouldn't feel like I had to renovate it right away.
Updating a bit here and there at a time would do.
# 6 was Oliver on the show.
Les Long lived here in the late 80s

The front room with dining room is the living room. The less formal room in the back is the family room
❤😊
I always wonder what the back story is...why is the house abandoned now
Who's taking care of this house?

Beware of the freezer fairy🥴
Hi Ethan ✌️
I was watching a tour of a home in Italy and the guy said, " Why does everyone leave the toilet lid up "??
I like the oldest bathroom the best what I don't understand is why they need those intercoms with such tiny rooms lol
Will pressure washing get rid of the smell in the fridge
So who was the nhl legend
I hope they're not tearing it down. Soli#ly built house. Harewood floors. Big rooms. I'd buy it.
If it was a Italian family they grew their own spices for cooking
I like it! Thank you °~•.☆.•~°
So who is the NHL LEGEND?? Or is this just click bait??!!
He doesn’t give out names or addresses out of respect.
It's a nice old house how to build very well from the looks of it. But there's just something creepy about old houses I never want to live in one even if it was modernized is it still wouldn't want to
Hello Ethan
Shame its getting torn down, too nice a house. Would not take much to make it liveable.
That house has good bones. 👍
My kinda house lol
Who is the NHL legend??
name of nhl legend?
Hi Nathan uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Is this Tim Horton's house?
That bathroom is boring

There is no need to spend two minutes to show a front door and chandelier. This video would be way better if you cut out like half of the run time.
there’s no need, but i did. go watch someone else if it’s not living up to your standards.
