I grew up in Vermont and will always love the LAND, the Green Mountains and when the time comes will rest there.

Its magnificent. I go back every summer for a Vacation its a place where you feel human again .

Your opening shot of Lake Willoughby was great, as was the sunset shot at the end of Lake Champlain. So much beauty in the state, as I have been on just about every federal, state and county road that shows up on a road map. The irony is that the state where you want to be on a gorgeous country road, also has the most scenic interstates in America! Love the views, not so wild about the Burlington politics that now run the state. I prefer the independent spirit of the Vermonter over the socialist nonsense.

Greater Tampa has many beautiful areas, but the population of that metro area is greater than the whole state, so you are bound to have more development, careless tourists, litter, traffic, etc. VT is the least populated and most rural state in the US.
