Thank you for this Video... I have a 2020 with full Siemens setup, so I might do Z axis and spindle as well. Think I might have some tiny issues with mine, since I have not done the tuning part. I have tiny issues in Z sometimes.
I think I’ll stick with just the very very basics for some time yet, only then I might get brave enough to even think about going deeper inside the 808 brain 😂 Thanks for the great vid though.
Hey, Peter 1. Does the auto tuning process also set the axis calibration settings? (Steps per unit) or I wonder If that is done separately. 2. Do you happen to know if your Syil x7 is using the Siemens Servos on each axis to complement the SINUMERIK 808D controller?
Hi. 1: not this does not set steps per unit, this is just tuning the servo, accel/ decel/ current etc. 2: My X7 has all Siemens servos, the spindle servo is not Siemens but on the new X7 it is.
