- THE CRAZIEST TACO CHALLENGE in Mexico!!! Today we take on a very large, delicious and authentic Mexican food challenge in Playa Del Carmen Mx at Ay Taco! For today we have to eat 50 taco's (10lb of tacos) of different flavors like chorizo, el pastor, carne asada, and so much more! They are topped with authentic toppings like cilantro, onions and pineapple.. Served on a corn tortilla and made with house made salsa's, this is possibly my favorite taco's in all of playa del carmen! Are these the best tacos in playa del carmen? Can we beat this giant taco challenge? Or will this rare Mexican food challenge be too much to swallow?

When I was in my 20’s my parents had a time share condo in playa del Carmen. So many great memories with that place. I had a pizza on the beach that changed my life. Thank you so much Joel.

Oddly enough, my favourite tacos are from this small restaurant in the Kitano area of Sannomiya in Kobe, Japan. He makes soft tacos. Seafood, chicken or beef. Topped with his own guacamole, home made cream cheese/sour cream, pakuchi (cilantro). They have a little kick, but a good one. They aren’t “traditional” or food truck style, but they are incredibly addictive.
It has always amazed me how you can find some of the best versions of ANY international food style in Japan.
After living in San Diego for years I miss authentic Carne Asada every day! This challenge looked INCREDIBLE
Traditional barbacoa tacos are my favorite, it’s made with slow cooked beef cheeks / head meat. Very delicious 🤤

First of all, I know know I'm making tacos fir dinner tomorrow, but they won't compare to having them from Mexico. I'm a Mexican food fanatic! If I had to choose a favorite, it would be steak tacos 😋!
My favorite are Tacos de Sesos!!! 😋
lengua or carnitas are top notch imo if you can find someone who knows what they're doing 😋 😋 😅
Get a skirt steak. Marinate it in lemon, lime, orange juices with spices (a bit of garlic, onion powder and whatever else you want to add) for an hour or longer. Yes, all three citruses. Get a thick bottomed skillet or if you can grill, the highest heat, to blacken the meat on each side. Cook it to your preference..let rest and then slice. Get cilantro and onion and dice them to top the tacos. Corn tortillas can be found in any store.. Look up on TH-cam to make what salsa you like. There are so many options. Just experiment and don't be afraid to get creative. I make Mexican.meals more than any because my ex is Mexican and my roomies are Mexican. I have learned so many delicious dishes.. Enjoy!!

Joel looking jacked before this challenge. The way you eat and keep your body fit is amazing in itself! You obviously know how to eat those calories and still keep yourself in shape. I'd like to hear what your workouts are like. What you do each day before your eating challenges and maybe your math behind keeping your fitness while demolishing these challenges! Chicken Tacos are my goto tacos but I'll eat beef too. Chorizo 3rd favorite!
Im from Mexico City and there’s a few food challenges, but the culture is quite different due to some challenges are just to finish the meal because people are really not use to see people complete/eat so much food. Some of them are also in like the typical mexican markets thats why they’re quite rare to find! Love your videos and hope you had a great time in Mexico Joel!

That little taco stand looks outstanding. That challenge looked to be more pleasure than a challenge.
I'm not sure I could pick a favorite. But if I was to get stuck with one kind, a good steak taco is hard to beat. Onion, light on the cilantro, radish, and some hot red pepper sauce. But I think 6 would stuff me.

Fish tacos hands down for me. With shredded cabbage. The fresh fish and the crunch of the cabbage. Damn.

That green salsa is also traditionally from Mexico, it is typically made with avocado, tomatillo, cilantro, onion, jalapeño/Serrano and sometimes a dash of milk or cream.

You ever get to Houston check out Ruchi's taqueria they have a bunch of locations and most are 24hrs you can't find better southern Mexican food ..they have the best version of that avocado salsa for dipping chips in along with pickled garlic and carrots onions ..and another awesome salsa ...all free with your meals
My favorite are the tripitas taco with crema, onions, cilantro and tomatillo salsa verde...yum 👍👍
Fish tacos are my favorite, but I can only eat 3 in 1 sitting......not 50. As usual, Joel killed it!!

cabrito taco is my go to when down in Mexico for work. There is a restaurant near the office down in Mexico that slow cooks two whole cabrito's per day. And you can almost literally order any part of it. The cheek is really good.

Well done, Joel! Good thing I'd eaten dinner just before I watched this, or I'd be out buying tacos right now! I'd say shrimp tacos are my favorite, followed closely by ground beef and Carne Asada. I had you timed at 27:30, which works out to 33 seconds per taco, a very fine pace. As always, the scenery at the end was gorgeous!
If you want to be precise you have to take into consideration that there was a 5 minute 8 second break/gap as Joel was waiting for the last 20 tacos to come out from 12:12 till 17:20.. so he actually finished this challenge in less than 22:30 which works to close to 27 seconds per taco

Appetizing looking food. My favorite Taco comes from a fast food restaurant here in my home state called a Taco Bravo 🌮 It is a traditional crispy beef taco, then wrapped in a flour tortilla that has been smeared with refried Beans.

Double corn tacos are normal street tacos. I love lengua "beef tongue" street tacos. Chorizo is another favorite of mine. Cilanto and onions are normal for street tacos, with a lime wedge. Street tacos are the awesome.
I could maybe do 20-25 at the most, on a good day that is, amazing joel, my favourite taco is probably steak but love em all, great vid buddy 👍💪💪

Definitely Al pastor tacos 🌮 are my favorite when made the traditional way like that in Mexico off the trunk. Those are the bomb! Tacos el Gordo has the best pastor tacos imo.

Al pastor tacos are the bomb! And the salsa de jalapeño sometimes does have a little bit of Mexican sour cream to make it creamy. Great video Joel!

Crazy chance, all I had was some ground turkey so I made tacos with my own home blend of seasonings. Chicken or turkey has a better mouth feel and a better overall cleaner palate to carry the flavors. And it is way cheaper.
