I'm a BIG fan! Just wanted to say, you have absolutely nothing to worry about with your Fair Isle cardigan and with steeking, I'm sure you will do beautiful job - you are such an impressive technician. I'm so excited to see the project when it is finished. Do that one first, LOL!
@@adrianeweatherford9505 thank you! I’m definitely going to cast on soon. I’m just waiting for the Knitpicks Palette colors I want to come back in stock 🤍
I made shawl in ice landing yarn for friend. She wore it for few years like everyday. It soften but it’s not baby merino softness. But what’s great was she was able to wear it all year long even when was warm I love icelanding yarn
Plotulopi isn’t overly soft. It’s not terrible but I wouldn’t want to wear it against my neck inside. I don’t use my plotulopi scarf often for this reason. Woollentwine doesn’t always have unspun. She’s got a TH-cam channel that has episodes that discuss her shop updates
I've used plenty of Novita yarns and it's always a toss of a coin whether the yarn when starting it from the middle comes out nicely or not. Idk, I'm gonna say it's 50/50, some times I love the start and some times the yarn barf makes me tear my hair out. Even within the same dye lot. Lol.
Such nice plans! Is the Karla cardigan still on your queue? You mentioned it a few episodes ago and I’m casting it on next week so it’s on my mind! If you’re still accepting shawl recommendations, I’ve been loving the Undertow shawl which was published in Life in the Long Grass latest magazine and I’d love to make it. I also made Vertices Unite earlier this year and it is definitely one of my favourite projects of the year - just so much fun to knit! I think of it as a more engaging Sophie scarf 😅
@@Stitchesinstem I still have plans for the Karla. I’m thinking maybe I should finish some test knits before I cast on. It might end up being an early winter cast on. Are you using a blown yarn for yours?
Have you tried Nutiden? It's an unspun yarn, but really really really soft. Harder to acquire, though. I'm planning a similar triagular shawl in Nutiden, most likely the Wildwood by Melody Hoffman.
54:10 “Since the day I was born’ 😂😂 the yarn looks like a giant cocoon baby. I watch your videos with straight face bc I’m knitting then I crack up at some silly things you say. Btw why did you go against the original yarn for borea anorak?
@@icemmag12 haha I just really love this yarn. Actually Karoline gave us a few options with the yarn so I just decided to go with Gepard instead. Some of the testers are using the Camarose yarn and it looks amazing 😊

Hi Joyin, beautiful name you've got! Love your plans, especially colorwork cardi! The mittens and socks with apples (or pumpkins) look so cute 🙃

All of your knits are beautiful. You are an inspiration to me. I enjoy watching your videos, keep them coming. Until next time, happy knitting.
@@HotinTexas73 thank you so much for watching and being here 🤍
Hi Joyin! Another great episode ❤! I find that plotulopi is very itchy (like lettlopi), but manchelopis by woolsdreamers is very soft
These are excellent plans. I really like the Risle Sweater and Cardigan No. 9. The Watch Cap is definitely on my list. 🧶
@@QueensYarnBoutique the Risle is definitely a must. I just cast on Cardi no 9 but I’m still not 100% sure I should use this yarn

@@toksknits I'm gonna guess it's because they're rustic yarns, so they stick to each other so easily.
