Have you tried Akershus? If so, what did you think? Also, does anyone know how to actually pronounced Akershus? Help us! 🙂

The actresses have captured the personalities of the princesses. I have an ADR for June 2024. I can't wait!

You just need to keep in mind that if you take a Little Girl to eat at Akershus, be sure that the Girl wears a Princess Dress so that the Princesses can see the Dress.

It all looked great to me especially compared to the 135.00 each at Disneyland.

The food looked awesome. Funny that the criticism of a Norwegian menu was that it wasn't American enough. It's not supposed to be. Yes, for people that aren't adventurous, and like to try food from other cultures, its probably not a good match. For people that want to experiance real Norwegian food, it looked authentic except for the bacon, but American's would really complain if there wasn't bacon for breakfast. As far as the price, you are paying for the princesses more than the food. That brunost looked like a higher quality than normally available here, I would have gotten more of that. Mmmm

Really good callouts! I was actually personally more disappointed that they had MORE scrambled eggs and bacon (aka the Standard American Diet, lol) and LESS Norwegian food! The brunost was one of the HIGHLIGHTS of the meal! I wish they would have given us more than just a tiny bit! Their dinner is arguable WAY better with may more authentic Norwegian food options (that said, I am not an expert in Norwegian food, but at least it's not your tater tots and that sort of stuff). This is why we love Tusker House and Boma where they aren't afraid to go a little bit more on adventurous side! 😁

@@journeywithjinandmike Not having this venue a buffet was a horrible idea. A lot of people from the US don't like Scandinavian food, especially children. With a buffet, people that want to try Norwegian food can, and those that don't, can get other food. It looks like disney's main reason for this is cost. Except for the few meats and the single slice of brunost (brown cheese) which is usually about $20 a pound or higher in the US, everything was food made with cheap ingredients. Every Norwegian restaurant has cured/smoked salmon for breakfast except this one. At least the breakfast seems to be more integrated than the luch/dinner which has corndog nuggets and Norwegian side dishes, which seems bizarre.

Oh I totally get that, which is what makes Boma and Tusker House so good to your point! They are buffets, so you get to pick the food at your comfort level! I wonder if this was a buffet before and certainly is set up that way! You’re right that Disney has made a lot of changes… but I am a huge fan of the brown cheese! 😊

@@journeywithjinandmike Yes, it used to be a buffet. I think the last Disney CEO made a lot of unpopular changes that are being reversed, so hopefully this one will go back to being a buffet soon.

The princess interaction was AMAZING! The food, unfortunately, we can't really say it's worth the price. But yes, the Princess Breakfast Adventure at the Napa Rose is WAAAAAAY more expensive, but to be fair, the food is better... We actually did a video on that as well! Hahahaha.
