追記 他の動画も見せていただき、白化粧の後素焼きすることがわかりました。それから焼成ですね。

I did bisque firing after I applied the slip. After that, I applied glaze and did glaze firing.

I also apply slip on bisque pots depends on what I make.

ご質問ありがとうございます！スポンジでの化粧土は、素焼き素地ではなく、生の素地での作業です。
独学で陶芸をしています。
スポンジで乗せるやり方は初めて見ました！
化粧土を浸し掛けしたり 筆やハケで厚めに塗ったりすると、乾燥の途中でいくつかの作品はボロボロに崩れてしまい、それはある程度仕方がないことだと、とある先生がTH-camで仰っていました。
こちらのやり方ですと外側は薄塗りになる為、作品が全体的に崩れることは無いのでしょうか？それとも施し方に関わらず、一定数は大きくひび割れたり崩れたりしてしまうものなのでしょうか？

スポンジで施すと崩れることはあまりないです。一回では発色が薄いので、２回〜3回繰り返すと白くなります。
仰る通り、発色が薄く仕上がったことがあったので、重ねてみます！
