After watching your video about making inkas, i have made myself several (with 16, 12 and 8 petals to suit the size of the sticks i used), and then made one with 5 petals like a periwinkle. This evening i made a mug and used all of them to decorate it. I'm really pleased with it so far! tomorrow i shall apply slip and try kanna zogan...

I love mishima and making mishima-style ceramics. Thank you for your lesson and tips. Lots of people here grow camellias, so should be easy enough to find prunings. Most of my stamps are made of clay or polymer clay. I also make sprigs of local shells and small sea creatures to decorate my work. I like the idea of making wooden stamps too. I've been enjoying your videos and it makes me excited to get back into the studio.
I love how peaceful your surroundings are! I plan to carve my own designs now that I have watched how easy you make it look. I just need to find some hardwood sticks and buy some tools. Thank you!

Fantastic! I have been waiting for this video. I was thinking while you were carving that this would be easier using a fine porcelain? Also, I was curious about when you used the stamp that the petal separations were so deep in the clay that how would you get the slip out and still show separations of the petal leaves? It's hard for me to think inside out and upside down. Anyway, thank you so much. The quality of this video was perfect, all the angles and the closeups and views were great.
Thank you! I also make ceramic stamps for tiny and detailed designs. Wood stamps are a bit hard to use for small details, but I can adjust the details anytime.
I make stamps with clay sometimes. Clay stamps have durability once they are fired, but the problem is that you can’t adjust them by carving after firing.
