She's so classy, isn't she?! I love her speaking voice. Also, it's so good to see how excited she is about making music. She seems happier and more comfortable than ever before.
I have loved and admired Alison Goldfrapp from first album Felt Mountain. She’s so unique and a brilliant lyricist. And utterly brilliant love! Big love 💕
The new solo album is amazing! I love the positive vibes from it. I also like the way she moves on stage, like she is casting spells on the audience. I could listen to her for hours.
She is such a phenomenal artist!! I'm kind of glad she's not completely mainstream here in the US because I can covet her music without the entire world knowing who she is.. On the other hand, I wish she'd tour here so I could see her perform. Regardless, she's fabulous 🎉🎉❤
I’m so surprised when she says that when she started there was less diversity 😮 It was the time where rock mixed with dance, even trip-hop, the genre she was in, was a mix of multiple influences. As a listener I think was so much diversity and innovation during the nineties…
I agree. Music today seems more segmented and standardized than ever before, responding to certain market logics. To understand what Alison meant, you have to know who she was talking about. It's hard to believe a newcomer could make a record like Tricky's Maxinquaye.
This was an amazing interview! Great questions from the German guy! And Alison she’s so gorgeous and love her ideas. Must say I met her on the train stop in Berlin in 2017. And interacted with her many times on Instagram. She’s such a lovely, beautiful person. Hope she makes it to Boston or New York with the tour 😇✨💙
This is fantastic ! Thanks Diffus for featuring the incredible Alison Goldfrapp. I see her influence everywhere but, no one seems to be promoting her work, well, at least not here in the US, so getting to see this interview was really special. ✌💜
I discovered Goldfrapp right at the beginning with Felt Mountain and have always remained a fan over the years, even though the gaps between the albums were quite long and they always managed to surprise me with a different sound. The albums are so different. It sometimes happened that it took me a year or two to really fully like it. I just found out about The Love Invention today. It's a shame that Will isn't there anymore, but on the other hand it probably gives Alison more freedom. You can't imagine how curious I am now and how much I'm looking forward to it. 🤗
Allison. Your music in the past has influenced me a good amount over time. Love your style with the way you sound. Whoever you were working with in the past brought a lot of melody to the music you all did. Go back to them and bring them forward with you because there is something missing from this album. I can hardly remember one track to the next. Sadly. It feels like pop without soul. And you do such beautiful music. Like I’ve posted much of mine. lol. But seriously I can hear a big difference. And I was kind of sad from the sound.
I was glad to read your comment as this was the first time I have heard anyone mention what is missing. My understanding is that the other half of the 'Goldfrapp' collaboration (Will Gregory) has decided to concentrate on his other interest which is music composition for films etc, so Alison has had to manage without Will. I was gutted when I discovered this, Will's contribution to the Goldfrapp sound is what we are missing, ...but I wish Alison & Will all the best for the future.
Hey!!! That's Not Alison Goldfrapp, the Moon faced little lady We all know and Love. Seems like She's doing a Paul Mcartney, Or has She AI generated Herself??? Gotta Love Her though ; - )

Alison is all class which by definition is timeless. Huge fan.

Iv seen her live years ago and it literally is how you describe, she is so bewitching, I was in a total trance ✨
Her art is literal magic! ✨🪄
True artist, still appreciated all over the world.

This is the most relaxed and unguarded I’ve seen her in an interview

When you have that one thing one person one artist that resonates on such a level and you can listen to an interview like this!

Good interview. Good response from AG
What a beautiful talented and humble woman. I can die
I hope to carry her glamour into my older years... channeling Vivien Westwood.... with a musical talent. I love women like this.
