Alison Goldfrapp Interview with Jools Holland. 2013pm 16.7.23 you should listen to bismuth if you like the ladies who collect rocks and are into geology.
she is a music veteran at this point also she is so much more comfortable during interviews, i know she wasnt very fond of them in the past but watching her now she is delightful
Lovely lady, very talented, knew she enjoyed her Cigars (maybe why her voice has that amazing sound) but never knew she was into rocks and I understand the smells thing but I thought she'd prefer something better than Vodka!
When you get a chance to interview an artist of her stature, for god's sake ask about the art! Not whether she collects rocks and what they may be called 🤦♂️
@@omardj13 yeah she can be tricky to do interviews with for sure :) but I love her, she's such a creative queen and Goldfrapp easily made some of the best alt-pop of the 21th century
This is exactly what I was thinking. Holland was so patronising here. I was trying to imagine him asking the same set of questions of, say, Nick Cave or Patti Smith or Chrissie Hynde or Beck. We learned about the use of geranium oil in Goldfrapp's dressing room and her collection of rocks and whether she likes a dance or not. Jeez.
@@skooshy621why and how is it patronising that he asks her a question about something she is passionate about? And if you know anything about her work then you’ll know that rocks where a huge element in the aesthetics of the silver eye tour! Put your sexism card away you sound like a clown
as far as i know studio 54 is still closed...stuff's too breathy with the analogs too upfront...........vodka [Zzzzzzzzzzz] ..........rocks.....................well, that was stimulating
Absolutely lovely, and what truly awesome music she’s been putting out!
SHES SO SHY !! LOVE HER
Her speaking voice is so nice to listen to.
I've always enjoyed her interviews because of it and she's got interesting responses too but her voice is so soothing
Love Alison Goldfrapp!

She has gone from "mystery woman" to accessible. Quite fascinating actually.
she is clever and creative
Lover her, love her, love her.

lapis lazuli...works wonders for inner balance and depression.. its blues are as deep as the ocean. beautiful stone
I want her to record and perform with Roisin Murphy!
Wow, Jools looks rejuvenated!
Talent.
The new album is so hot!
Combo with Jessie or Róisin...or all 3 would be cool.
She should do a Bond intro song. It's bologna that she hasn't.

Believe me she is like this interview ALWAYS. I prepared my questions everything was about music, but her personality is very intimidating

You had me on shiny skirts. Kudos.
Goldfrapp is Madonna on steroids ❤
Gorgeous! My absolute favorite band ‘Goldfrapp’. Please come back with a new album. Not such a fan of the new one though. Sorry!
She was always so stiff and defensive in interviews.its nice to see her being more relaxed these days.
man, she doesnt think highly of Hólland or his questiosn
... is she married??? or taken or what ?? i love the drumming of the fingers on the table when she says geology ...
I lOVE her music, but shes so fooking dull in interviews. Sort of spoils the mysticism of her.

So boring
That's ok. You can't help it.
