Im in Arizona in the US and the cost for us is astronomical! it is $7500 per eye and insurance does not cover it. It is so unfortunately that is is so expensive and insurance won't cover it. Thanks for sharing your experience. As an update in Nov 2024 they just came out with an updated multifocal lens that costs $8,000 an eye. Ouch!
im three weeks post surgery and I can see the time on my watch, I can read my phone but still having problems reading the computer at work due to blur. I have to really concentrate and am shattered by the time `I get home. I hope there is going to be more improvement. I think my area of vision is smaller than when I was wearing glasses. Could that be correct.
You didn't mention what kind of lens you got. Sounds like it was a multifocal lens given the fact that you're seeing halos. My understanding is those halos never go away. It's one of the shortcomings of a multifocal lens.
Hi Steve I had mine done in uk 4 weeks ago and still find it pretty blurred mid range and struggle with a computer, I was like you just short and everything else good but find things worse now, did you notice any of this
So how is now?? Cause I have trouble when I see at laptop distance as well. It’s so frustating. Will it improve by time?? Thanks before for your answer
Hi, thanks for sharing. In your case, how long is the shawdowing gone?? Cause I did the lens replacement surgery a month ago, and now my eyes still not comfortable yet, when I see people it just like shadowing and also my vision not so clear yet, specially in the room that the light no pretty bright. It makes me so panic and anxcious. Your answer will be so usefull and help me Thanksss
Sir I got surgery in my both eyes & I got mono lenses 20/20 visions before the surgery I didn't need glass for reading but now I need glass for reading & for computer & driving its so annoying so is it possible to exchange lenses please reply I am so sad 😢
I'm curious, if you had 20/20 vision why did you have the surgery? I'm sorry for your bad experience. On the bright side, God blessed you with a beautiful face.
@@edshepherd2120 because it’s bothering me I need glass to reed & I am a reader before I didn’t have to I used to see perfectly near one now I need glasses for reading & driving & even watching T.V computer it’s annoying for me
Hi Steve, please could you tell which lense you chosen. I’m going to have my lence replacement in 4 weeks time and decides to go for the synergy from J&J.
I believe that lens replacement should not be done for cosmetic or convenience. People who have compromised lenses such as cataracts need this surgery , and they tell you before that it is not a perfect solution. I’m surprised you can find a reputable surgeon to do it.
Cataract surgery cannot restore the eyes of a 25 year old and every body without cateract surgery will wear glasses and eventually go blind! If you go with the monofocal lens to see far and uses glasses to read and see computer you will have the eyes of a 45 year old! If you wear transitional sun glasses with progressive for reading, what is the matter with that! Most convenient and have eye protection! Trying to eliminate glasses just causes problems! People should have educated themselves before talking to surgeon! People need to blame themselves in most cases!

It does take time to improve. Mines still not perfect but improving all the time
I had it done 2 weeks ago and I am experiencing the same problems. How are you finding it now?
Did your computer/ medium distance vision etc improve? Appreciate your feedback to date.. thank you

Yes multi focal they don’t go away but you get used to them and stop noticing unless you’re looking for them

I wish I have seen your videos before , lens replacement is not as good as expected. Should think twice !
i think it varies for people. I would say I'm 85% happy with mine.
