You know a track is godlike when you hear it over and over again for the whole stage and never get bothered or annoyed by it and enjoy it all the way till the end
Turok Dinosaur Hunter was 96 megs, while Turok 2 Seeds of Evil was 256 megs. No wonder the improvement. A masterpiece wherever you want to see it. Graphics, soundtrack, effects, selection of weapons, and even gore and of course, gameplay. Has aged so well, that it seems not to require -yet- a remake. Still fun these days...
Those who say this song is repetitive don't know what it's like to walk the burning streets fighting off Compy and Veloceraptors, or crawl through the sewers to rescue children in cages, calling out for help.
A bunch of scaly monsters have invaded. Kids are caged, I guess as snacks for later. Turok, one of the best monster hunters has been called to fight. This track seems to show he's ready to fight in such a dire situation. Time to save those kids, and light the beacons. Anything getting in the way gets blasted.
Best Song Ever Created. I think i was about 9 years old when my older brother gave turok soe to me. This black cartridge was other than the others in my little collection. This one scared me to death first. Then i learned. Ive tried over and over again. Raotors were still the worst virtual thing ever.. Port of Adia. This music. Battleborn.
I love shotgunning those Dinosoid fuckers' heads off and then releasing the children from the cages. Adon's voice happily exclaiming "Child rescued!" as the little girl tearfully says "thank you Turok". The music blares on as you still have more work to do. I always thought it was powerful. Makes you feel like a badass with a heart of gold. Love this game.
If you have an anxienty attack come here to listen this piece. You will feel brave and ready to fight with evil sadic diabolic monsters that want to destroy and make suffer to you (anxienty attack), you will feel like sturok shooting down those ugly monsters.
My god, this takes me back Christmas '98! I remember being so impressed by the movement of enemies, the high-res graphics, the way enemies reacted to be shot with an arrow in certain parts, the interaction with the environment, the way parts of walls would fall apart when struck, the lens flare, the environment sounds, the amount of dialogue, the sense of power you'd get firing off those explosive shotgun shells, the depth of levels and just how much better the gameplay was versus the original's unforgivable platform sections! Shame about the frame rate and later levels, they really let it down, despite being a huge technical achievement for 1998.
@@pandasaurusb.c.6047 Same here! Turok 2 was the shit back in days, especially with the gore. Cerebral Bore is probably the ultimate video game weapon ever created. The only drawback was the level design with its stretched paths and key items to find.
This is by far the most intense and awesome soundtrack ever. Your text describe the feelings I had back in the days perfectly, everything is destroyed, you hear people dying and buildings collaps, you fight through the enemys and try to activate the beacons and save the children and the soundtrack keeps pushing you constantly... Just amazing! Can't wait for the remaster on STEAM!
You really felt like a badass superhero playing this game. Children that got held in cages by those Dinosoid cretins, and you just shoot them to pieces and save the kids. Badass.
My thoughts exactly. This is one of the most epic songs ever composed for a videogame and it deserves a much better level. But you must admit. You almost came the first time u started playing Turok 2, saw all the blood, listened the explosions and thrilled to this amazing tune. I know I did. Turok 2 remains one of my favorite games of all time, and my fav FPS. =)
Man, they should make an open world Turok game where it takes place in a post apocalyptic world ruled by dinosaurs and Dino hybrids, with less than 100,000 humans left and your mission is to round up as many survivors and start building an army to fight off the Dino hybrids. Just an idea lol
Fabian Garcia Well, Turok: Evolution KIND OF was like that. Tyrannous ruled the land with his dinosaur-human like hybrid army and weren't many humans in the game. Even though that's the prequel of the first game the premise is remarkably similar.
This game was badass af. Native american hunting down mutated Dinosaurs and Aliens to rescue captivated children and soldiers. Makes you grow a beard instantely.
Lol indeed. for some reason I have that stuck in my memory. after long periods of not paying this game I always remember that cheat, even when the rest of the game turns foggy
Amazing game , was too tough for me on the n64 when i was kid though. I never got past the Lair of the Blind Ones. Thinking of downloading the Remasteree version on Steam and see if i can complete it 20 years later ;)
bro your description brought me back to the n64 days of playing turok. the mystery and difficulty of old school shooters wad amazing. Now of course it's buy dlc to unlock everything
This game brings back memories, I beat the first one. Never beat the second one, can't wait for the remastered so I can beat it lol great game for its time tho
I never beated too Turok 2 withouy cheats... It was very very difficult to affront some enemies with low ammo and it was also too much difficult to afront some laberynthic scenarios of the game.
As a kid who heavily played the N64 version way back, I remember finding this edition of the Port of Adia theme on an early version of Napster and being blown away by how much better it sounded. Then I discovered a PC version of the game existed from which this was from, and felt pretty badass that my little N64 could play a "PC Game." Brought that knowledge bomb with me to the schoolyard Playstation/Nintendo wars.
You know I can see what you mean, especially with that jungle-setting you are running through like the characters running through the forest in Last Of The Mohicans
You won't hear music like this nowdays no longer, because music always has to be "ambient"-crap that you won't even know that's playing in the background. This is why for example I chose the Resident Evil 2's original soundtrack over the remake one, when playing it.
Man, this game right here, when I played as I kid, don't matter how many times I played that part, I always jumped from my chair when that first Raptoid jumped out of the corner in the first world.
probably the best first level ever
i agree
I agree on that
totally
This track is unbelievable with a sound system......
You know a track is godlike when you hear it over and over again for the whole stage and never get bothered or annoyed by it and enjoy it all the way till the end
I listen to it every few months. It´s my #1 all time favorite video game music.
I've made a playlist of my top 15 ever.... if you're interested. You can comment on it on my community post....

Who else felt nostalgic?
Christian Araujo me
I feel nostalgic almost every time I hear this.
I did.

Yeah me 2
I love classic games
That damn ost...
If this dont get your adrenaline pumping to take out the humanoid dinosaurs, than i dont know what will
Those who say this song is repetitive don't know what it's like to walk the burning streets fighting off Compy and Veloceraptors, or crawl through the sewers to rescue children in cages, calling out for help.
The absolute pants-shitting terror i felt as a child at 1:24. I love this track.
Child of Adia - "Turok, Help!"
Turok - "So The Primagen has chosen, Death."
Thank you, Turok :)
When I first got this game I played for about a minute. Then I just looked around and listened to this awesome track for a while.

Love this game.
Just started playing this badass game again
Such a great game, but tough as nails.
I AM TUROK!!!!!
alukar0 Thank you Turok!
alukar0 no you are Alucard XD
More like: *I aM TruRAK!!!*
Distress beacon activated
Against an army of demons called 'oblivion'

Is it just me or does anyone else get a terminator 2 feel from
Nah, that part at 1:24 has T2 vibes. Makes it so good
Man...i'll always come back for this masterpiece.

I got the system and turok game for Christmas. It was spectacular.! The graphics blew me away and the music was stupendous.

The best Christmas I ever had as a child.
All I remember is the character screaming "I Am Turok!"
All that on a VooDoo2 with all the 3dfx awesomeness after all the software rendering before :)
Much better times...
The part where the chorus comes in on this song is AMAZINGLY epic, reminds me of Terminator 2, making the whole thing that much more enjoyable XD
As a boy, waking up 4am just to play this before school sounds nuts, sure didnt back then ;)
I woke up super early to play Mario 1 on Nintendo before school... not crazy at all.
No N64 game had any right to have a soundtrack this good.
Toughest game ever. Bloody good game, but soooooooo hard.
Damn such a bad ass track. It starts off smooth at the beginning then really epic from middle to end.
You really felt like a badass superhero playing this game. Children that got held in cages by those Dinosoid cretins, and you just shoot them to pieces and save the kids. Badass.
This really is some kind of landing music... You know squads swarming out to take a port.
Have to give credit to who ever orchestrated this music. Phenomenal
This track is the ultimate epic experience!
Can you people imagine an orchestral version of this song done today? I would SELL my own soul to hear it.
Jean Paul Bigio /watch?v=ZcJHAxj-n5A too!
It's excellent, by the way.
It already exists, no need to do that
Steve Jansen's cover is the best version. Period. End of story.
Such a classic when i was a kid :O
Luke Bottomley I was addicted to this when I was a little kid. My childhood was awesome!
One of the best Soundtracks ever - so Remarkable!!! That time it was just insane awesome godlike, nothing people had heard or seen before!
The song that last in your head for years
If a dinosaur eat me, this song will be perfect to die
With this song, you will be the one to eat the dinosaur.
@@UltimateCerberus facts
🤣
I still remember the days of youth when I usually asked my father to play it, it scared the crap out of me.
Marcos Lima Filho like me lol
This is an amazing piece of music. Good for a bit of space age dinosaur slaughter. I want the entire world to hear this song before the next battle.
If any game deserves a damn remastering it's THIS ONE. Maybe not even a remaster, just a reboot.
i never made it past this lvl as a child
"Thank you, Turok!"
This moment you won't finish the level because of the music 😭 genius, i think i make a drill remix 🤔
Singer name: Darren Michael
My thoughts exactly. This is one of the most epic songs ever composed for a videogame and it deserves a much better level.

2013, and still playing this game. Certainly will play this game every now and then as long as I'm alive.
ARUGH... OWUCH *shotgun noises*
this composition is absolutely great. i love it... best track imo
I was the only fan of Turok in my cricle of friends back then, and when this came out, I was so pumped with this song and the first level.
Epic game, and still playing this game in nintendo 64.

quick someone make a Turok mod on Fallout 4 when it comes out
ark survival evolved bro
..."Quick, staple some restricting tech that is still at tech demo stage onto it!"? No. :3

I think they just needed the right hardware to accomplish which now exists
This game was badass af. Native american hunting down mutated Dinosaurs and Aliens to rescue captivated children and soldiers. Makes you grow a beard instantely.
so friggin epic !!! better game music will never be made
This is the most amazing game that i never beat. Hard as hell for a 10 years old boy like my self when i played it.
Remaster coming!
+Luciano Irigoyen remaster of the game?? O.o
Yes. The first one was released last week, and this is coming next.
thanks!!!!!!
+Tyler Morrison PC. They already remastered the first one.
It's coming March 16th, everybody.
I like your description, excellent work.
i remember Perfect Dark having great tunes as well
Still 2rocking this beat in 2025..
These soundtracks are the best ever!
How can a music be so hot way back then?
Yeah, in this one the back beat is a little stronger and some of the instruments are louder. Works a little better in my opinion.
Finally the real game music version ! Unlike all other uploads. Thanks a lot !
All it needs is shotgun blasts and screaming dinos in the background and it'll be the most beautiful thing I've heard
A masterpiece. Amen

An amazing game. Still have it for my N64.
Out of all the cheat codes I have forgotten over the years, this one hasn't escaped my memory and I haven't picked this game up in over a decade haha

Best turok ever!!
I'd say this is close to the best video game song ever.
