True, but I think Mike's the real foodie that likes the classics, whereas Barry's the crazy abstract thinker that makes things no one's even thought of.

Barry's dish is a ice-cream sandwich as here in Italy we cut the brioche horizontally and then fill it with the ice-cream!! Bravo, on representing the recipe correctly!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

You know, here in Canada, we have 9 months of cold, snow & rain, so its never the proper weather to have a nice ice cream sandwich, but looking at Barry's dessert, a nice warm baked almond bun, with some yummy ice cream sounds quite nice! The warm baked bun/pastry really makes the dessert feel cozy, perfect for out harsh winters, maybe even lightly coat it with honey! Barry should expand on this idea!
Are Jamie's boxing gloves at the outro supposed to make us pay more attention to the "kitchen as a boxing ring during ultimate battles" concept??? HAHA 😂

They all look tasty, but based majorly on my desire to make macarons and my that I never have because of my great fear of screwing them up, I have to give Mike the point because his first attempt during a competition, and with technology issues, produced something that by all accounts was almost perfect - Impressive. Most impressive.
The titel picture was enough inspiration to create an ice-cream "beschuitje" ( sort biscuit/double baked bread) with jam and sprinkles as breakfast for my wife. 36C Saturday morning. Now curious what is in the video ;) Watched, really like it.
you should definitely come to Sicily and taste the original Granita (I am sure Barry's was delicious but I mean... 😂)and a little advise: Granita has to be eaten by using a piece of brioche as a spoon. (The same kind of brioche can also be filled with regular ice-cream -granita is a bit different) but WELL DONE TO Barry, that looked like a real Sicilian Granita!🙌
Ah I have just come back from travelling Sicily and Barry's was actually sooo accuratein flavor. It seriously is the most sicilian ice cream sandwich :D
Getting Macarons right the first try is so so so damn hard, so just for that challenge he already won that round in my opinion. They formed feet, were not runny and looked pretty crisp, so that looked pretty good. All of the recipes looked fantastic though, I'll definitely try them.
Do youp repare recipes for halloween, I would like to make more recipes this year, if you can make several biscuits recipes and salt recipes, maybe typically English or American, it can be fun I think :D
