@@orlock20 being able to sing the actual genre is different from “can sing” the genre. beyonce, kelly, sarah geronimo (filipina singer/performer) are three of the few artists who can pull off any genre. they are able to change their voice texture and adjust their voice to match the genre they’re singing. ariana, lana del ray, taylor swift all are great but they have a specific genre in which their voices fit so well - ariana with pop/rnb, taylor with country/pop, lana with alternative/pop. they CAN sing any other genre but not actually pull it off as it is

Great singer, great songwriter (there is a clip on TH-cam of her music director Jason telling how Kelly messages him in the middle of the night of songs she is writing, she has basically written the whole song in her head, and Jason's job is to translate onto paper), all while being a mother, having her own TV show, being a Voice coach, etc, etc. Just amazing.

Miley Cyrus even did a cover of one of her covers, I'll Take Care of You, attributing the song to Beth and not the original performer Bobby Bland. She is also a talented writer. She sang her original song Am I The One as a TV singing contestant on Star Search in 1993 (she won her season with the most perfect scores of any contestant in the past 10 years) and it's still being sung by TV singing contestants around the world.

First of all, what was that at 2:08 ! I didn't think that was possible. I know Steven Tyler of Aeorsmith (original singer for those not as old as me) did something like that but it seemed so fast and extreme here. I don't mea "extreme" in a bad way. I mean a shock/amazement. Isn't that hard on her voice? I suppose if you did it constantly it would be at least. I like Kelly as she is when she is not singing too though. She talks fast but she seems so nice. I'd probably pay to have a conversation with her while she did her nails while throwing in a song occasionally so.....I'm kind of weird.

I know she is loved so much but, I still think she is underrated. I wasn't a fan of her until she was on The Voice. Now I get chills listening to her. She's amazing. Also: Did you know Pentatonix was on the Masked Singer? In case you want to react to that.
She’s genuinely the only current pop singer that I’d say is comparable to the Trinity. She reminds me of Celine a lot, especially with how she just jumps from genre to genre without an issue. Lol I made this comment then got to her doing Celine’s version of River Deep Mountain High. She’s talked about how much she loves Celine before and has covered her a few times before.
In all these new videos there is a mismatch in the audio volume - Tara is much louder than the singer in the video, which makes it harder to hear the items that Tara is referring to.
Not many singers can pull off that variety of genres. She does it every day. BOSS!!!
Many singers are told to stick in a lane, but if they know the tricks of the genre, they can sing that genre.
