The most common lesson I've learned from Gordon Ramsay even if I'm not interested on being a chef is that; "Rule No.1 in Cooking Manners: Don't store raw meat with cooked meat."
And never cut anything where you have been cutting / preparing raw meat / fish before without cleaning the knives/ boards / surfaces very carefully. Edit: this mistake is often made with salad, after cutting let's say.....carrrots or potatoes, which will join the pot and cook with the meat thorroughly, so there is at least no real danger in doing it, despite it being unhygenic and in no way suitable for a cook's standards. But once this behaviour slips your mind, there comes the mistake of cutting some herbs that will not be cooked and there comes the Noro Virus or Salmonella...
Gordon: So who does most of the cooking? Waiter: Ah... that would be our third chef Mike Gordon: Ok... wait... I thought there were only two chefs Waiter: Ah... I meant Chef Mike...rowave Gordon: **facepalm**
What is more unbelievable is that the restaurant applied to be on the show and they didn’t think to have a deep clean before they were to be aired in front of millions?!
Most respectful Owners and Managers who does their jobs diligently would have no problem showing off the kitchen. You don't have people actually going in inspecting or getting in the staff's way. If you're refused a peek at a kitchen its usually a sign to eat somewhere else. Me, personally, I'd have camera's in my kitchen to record the staff in case someone goes full retard and tries to put a booger in someone's food or something gross and also to show my customer's our level of professionalism with a tablet so they can see how great my team would work.
@@JaybayJay That's a bit of a control freak, ain't it? Who's gonna watch that hours of footage, not you, that's for sure. Its because they think they're perfect and their food is amazing and they're sure that the food has nothing to do with why the restaurant is failing. They see other better restaurants apply and get makeovers for free...thats what they all want i guess
It actually baffles me how low the food standards are in the US. I worked in a chain pub for a few months in the UK and the food might have been shit but at least it wouldn’t fucking kill anyone.
Genuinely. Like, people in the US mock us for having bland and tasteless food, but when you find out what actually goes in the food in the US to make it so supposedly tasty? I'll take my "bland" food, thank you very much.....

Alldrey 777 You can, but on different shelves. Raw food ALWAYS goes on the bottom shelf and must be covered and labeled. A standard fridge with 4 shelves may like this: Top Shelf: Produce, cheese, milk/cream, third shelf: Cooked and labeled meats. Second Shelf: Raw prepared meats, skinned, boned, and or seasoned. First shelf: Boxed or sealed raw meat, temped on delivery. labeled.
Well in a home fridge it happens, but i do get it, just don't put them near each other really. some of the other ones that had things closed up, nobody getting on their ass ok i get it, but the rotten stuff is where it's just wrong... *slowly zooms in on a person eating the tomato, doing nothing to stop them*
Probably editing purposes, I doubt they allowed someone to eat a rotten tomato. Could've been filmed earlier or something.
Also they problably were using different cameras, so maybe thay camera man didnt know it was rotten and was simply filming someone eat there.
I laughed so fucking hard
Giggled so hard my cheeks hurt
Because it’s staged and all fake. The restaurants are real but they get a good amount of cash publicity and a nice little makeover after Ramsey comes to town.
You know the restaurant is a biohazard when Gordon Ramsay storms out from the kitchen
Maybe I should start listening to my mom when she says there is food at home.
I agree to this comment☹️☹️
No wonder why my brother wants my mother's cook's
Maybe the quarantine wasn’t the worst that could happen

Anyone else NEVER watch Gordon but have the sudden urge to binge watch his videos 😂

What I learned from this show:
Never put raw meat next to cooked meat
you should know that anyway really
afootineachworld damn your mom or whoever never told you this??

"Rule number one, don't store cooked meat and raw meat in the same fuckin fridge".
First shelf: Boxed or sealed raw meat, temped on delivery. labeled.
You didn't fuckin listen. Rule number one, don't store cooked meat and raw meat on the same fuckin shelf in the same fuckin fridge!
NicYoong Productions I'm no food expert, but why don't they go together
you can really learn alot about cooking from this show
Well in a home fridge it happens, but i do get it, just don't put them near each other really. some of the other ones that had things closed up, nobody getting on their ass ok i get it, but the rotten stuff is where it's just wrong... One thing to fuck up and accidentally place raw and cooked food too close, it's another to have someone PAY for rotten meat...
Gordon really gives 0 fcks about his safety. Like every time he picks up that slimy ass food I literally die inside. I cant.
You can feel when something is bad, sometimes it will smell fine but you touch it and you can tell right away.
I'm the same, I don't know how he does it.
@@leishayoung4124 If I recall correctly it's why he quit the show, all the awful food literally started effecting his health. Stomach ulcers I believe.

No, you don't "literally" die.
My God. I've been in the food industry for maybe 4-5 years and I feel like I have a better understanding of food safety then everyone in this combined. Absolutely terrify
"Where is the tomato?"
The camera man knows...
"Where is the tomato?" is the original "Where's the lamb sauce?"
Cameramen know all they are omniscient
The only thing I think of when eating food now are these videos.🤢
Gordon Ramsay should make a series where he goes to schools and exposes their lunches
Type in little Gordon part 3
Yess
Jamie Oliver already did that and folk hate him. I just want my turkey twizzlers >:(

You know major props to Gordon dealing with that nasty gone-off food. I can't even touch the packaging of a food with something gone-off in it without gagging
I've learned a lot of stuff from watching so much Ramsay.
1. Never store cooked meat anyway near raw meat
2. Always rotate the freshness and cook fresh
3. I couldn't run a restaurant to save my life

The golden rule of kitchen nightmares
NEVER PUT COOKED MEAT NEXT TO RAW MEAT
isn't it the golden rule for not having salmonella..?
Don't u mean the #1 most basic rule of food hygiene? Not just kitchen nightmares 🤣
You can add raw fish to that as well, eg blue chopping board fish, yellow cooked meat, red raw meat. I think that was one of the first things we did at college!
@@antcatt_ most people think of salmonella as a poultry based thing, but in truth its more widespread, eg pork and certain vegetables can contain salmonella bacteria. Most of us can ingest a certain amount without any real problems.

@@itzzzdionecI’m surprised as a key reason it was stopped was Gordon had enough trying to help people that didn’t actually want help + food poisoning.
