The fire brigade do a fantastic job at keeping us safe and they go to work knowing that they may never see their families again and I do take my hat off to them
That is so sad. First there was the hut in Lake Meadows, then Reid's Bar, and now this. I hope all leads are being followed if there are suspicions of arson.
Yes, was that the park run volunteers hut at Lakemeadows? & and this fire in the high street greatly affects the Foodbank volunteers, I was so surprised to hear of yet another fire.
@@paulbutterworthbillericay That's right, it was the hut at Lake Meadows that the Parkrun volunteers use. It may have been used in the past for a radio-controlled boat club I think. And am I right in remembering that also some play equipment in Lake Meadows was damaged by fire before they installed the new playground? Normally I don't like CCTV everywhere but incidents like this make you think otherwise.
@doubledecker1094 Yes I know a lad who volunteered there, they do a great service marshaling Billericay runners & clocking in there times, Billericay like all our villages & towns have some great people volunteering, now the fire in the high street effected the Pastoral volunteers as they were about to get another unit to help folk, let's pray this 8s the end of it
Respect for the man recording the video because he started recording after the fire brigade arrived and didn’t immediently start recording because if he did that’s would have delayed one call because every 999 call counts
Thanks for your kind words, I arrived late in the fire, but always try & keep out the firefighters' way as they have a job to do. They definitely prevented further damage to other property this day
Probably decon/clean cab concept. Reduce exposure to carcinogens from any contaminants picked up while in on BA. Gear will get cleaned back at station, before being put back into use.

Our services are top arnt they
@@paulbutterworthbillericay they sure are and I do thank them when I see them out and about
According to news reports, 2 young lads have been arrested for this.
Paul during the video you see something called the Community Hub, can you explain what that is?
I believe it's a droppin centre where you can get support for mental health problems & stress
Good pictures of the afters. Shows the damage fire does.
I hadn't noticed, Fire doors definitely do there job

It's a bit twisted for lack of a better word that it happened behind a fire alarm / security alarm shop.

What do you use to film with Paul? The quality is very good and the image is steady. Surely it's not just your phone?
It is its a Samsung phone, and the image stabilisation is really good, but I do my best to keep everything steady, & I used a tripod lol
Somebody’s stupid actions causes misery to somebody else and expense and inconvenience and risk to emergency workers

@@paulbutterworthbillericay definitely i love watching this kind of content since it inspires me to be a firefighter
@alisharehman8798 That's excellent, it's definitely a job that will keep you busy when the call comes through
What was the contamination as some are bagging gear and some are still wearing the gear in the appliance
Its standard procedure after wearing BA in a building fire
Who’s the legend at 2:45 who tried to go under air with his cylinder closed 😂
Someone tell me why are the fire fighters putting their protective clothing in a bag for?

Insurance insurance job
Two young lads playing with a lighter and caused £100’s of thousands of damage to mine and several other businesses
