Recorded on Thursday the 15th of February 2024. My daughter Samantha and I visit the city of Newport in Wales. I touch briefly on the history and we visit the museum. I hope you enjoy.
I have only ever been through Newport on the train into Pembrokshire, i have got stuck in Cwymbran thought (sorry for the spelling) nice vlog dude, you found your niche!!! Your very good at conveying the history of places and i enjoy your vlogs dude, keep going!!
Hi Andrew, I like Newport although it seemed better in the 80s. Moved there in 1981 with my then husband and our house was purchased for £17k in 1981 off Barrack Hill. Love the Friars Walk area mixed in with the old architecture and the oldest pub, Ye Olde Murenger House. Enjoying your vlogs, thanks 🍺👍👋
Ah cool, we will have to meet up. I saw your mum and dad in Blackwood today (28-2-24) and I plan to do a video of Cefn Hengoed and I asked if he wanted to help me with it by giving a brief history. I will again give you a shout out, you are free to give me a shout out on your channel as well. Thank you for watching CJ.
@@chris777-c1k Where I live in Newport is very quite and very nice. Just like everywhere there’s good and bad parts, I stay clear of the bad parts and very rare I go to town. Normally I jump on the train and go to Cardiff.
@@thecelticdruid7707I'm a Englishman(from Liverpool) but if i lived in Wales I'd stay up North probably Talacre(its always been a favourite place to go on holiday) and its like a 2nd home for us scousers
Imagine if you had never been to Newport before and got off the train, walked out the station and walked directly to Newport central police station or the Royal Gwent hospital…. That would be your first impression of Newport. Total gutter. It’s a shithole. And everyone who lives there will agree. Take off the rose tinted glasses.
@@thecelticdruid7707 Bargoed is a bouncy castle compared to Newport. Imagine that person from the train accidentally turned left at the police station…
I was raised in Newport and visited after forty years of absence. Never again. so sad what a labour council has done to it. Heart and soul has gone and now it is a sterile wasteland.
I always love to visit Newport when I'm travelling to my beloved Leominster from Kent.
Hi there. Thank you for watching and your welcome comment. Best wishes from Andrew and Samantha.

Don't really know what all those shops are selling but there's a lot of them. Was hoping to see what you decided to eat. Museums are always great.
We decided to have a Taco bell.
Amazing video! Does Samantha live in Newport? I have a friend called Kynan who is from Newport

Yes, of course, I like to visit but as I'm not from Newport I won't live there, I would much prefer Cardiff.

If you think Newport is a dump you should look at Bargoed in the valleys. I agree with you to a point, I prefer Cardiff to Newport.
