I don’t think the scammers scammed her money to invest more and make more for her. They tricked her into thinking her bank account was hacked, meaning her money was no longer “safe” there, when it really was. Then manipulated to change it into gold since that can’t be hacked or drained. I think she thought they “the government” will help her relocate her gold bars to safer account or safe. So when she didn’t receive the “receipts” it finally clicked. Pig butchering is a well known scam that we are warn elders about, but her scam was not pig butchering. Sadly, she was manipulated to basically give it away to protect her money and family. Almost like a kidnapping extortion but without one occurring.

1- The Gov. will never call you 2-If the accounts were hacked, the bank would notify her 3- She should’ve went down to the Bank herself in person. If the bank is closed when she gets these calls, then that means No employees will be at the bank to call her(which should/would be the only people calling her about any issues, not anyone else)

Few months ago some weird basketball people got my number and kept harassing me to buy money orders to pay for unpaid parking tickets. They kept threatening me and saying i was gonna get arrested if i didnt give them cash and a bunch of money orders. Knew it was a scam right away.

He said my buddy's Dad's yard hadn't been mowed in weeks, the electricity had been cut off, and the Dad had just tried to borrow $7000 from him. He flew home at once, but the damage was done. The Dad had lost over a half a million dollars in a tele phone scam.
I'm guessing the shop owner was selling the gold well above spot price and was making a handsome profit on the transaction. Doesn't surprise me he wasn't going to try and talk her out of the transaction after asking the most basic questions he is required to.
It doesn't really matter if it is online, mail order, txt message, phone call, and on a computer. Always buy physical gold or silver coins at a brick and mortar store. Never buy them if you do not know who the seller is.
