    Spent 50 hours with this cast? Try 260 across vanilla and royal. Add in some time dancing and I spend more time with this cast than my family

    I played the Japanese version on Switch and I’m very excited I can finally play the English version and understand the story of the game especially since I have more of a connection to the English voice acting than the Japanese voices. Great game.

    Now that we Have Persona 5-2, Now I'm wondering what a Persona 5-3 is going to be. Considering Persona 4-2 and 3 were a Fighting Game and Dancing Game. Since P5S is a Muso, one has to wonder what sort of wild direction the next one will take...
    Personally hoping for a Yakuza crossover.

    Is this a sequel to persona 5 or Royal? It's a huge difference & I need to know if I have to restart Royal to play this.

    • @NoisyPixelNews
      @NoisyPixelNews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s more of a sequel to 5 since it doesn’t have the characters from Royal in it

    • @13thPalace
      @13thPalace 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It can work as a sequel to either, since there's nothing that disqualifies Royal from existence or anything.
      However, content-wise, It's a sequel to normal P5. Nothing from Royal is actually referenced, so no Sumi, no Maruki, no Akechi changes etc.
      All the portraits are the older ones and not the revamped Royal ones.
      In an interview and stream (It was in Japanese, I watched someone else translate it live as it happened) back from Japanese release, Atlus came out and said it's a sequel to P5 and not Royal.
      Royal was also not finished by the time development was happening on Strikers.

    I bought and am about to play this game. I know the story is watered down compared to Royal but it still holds up. Atlus has made alot of money on 5 , definitely their most popular entry, but its time to move on. Persona 6 will probably be the only game on ps5. Lol

    This game looks great and I enjoyed the demo I played from the Japanese eShop, but it seems like a game I should avoid until I play Persona 5...which it seems I never will.

    • @jclosed2516
      @jclosed2516 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm... Not sure about that. They already brought Persona 4 Golden to the PC, so it's not unthinkable they will someday publish Persona 5 (Royal or not) on the PC. Anyway - It's indeed better to avoid this game until Persona 5 is on the PC, because (as far as I could understand) there are spoilers for the original Persona 5 game.
      Anyway - I do not even want to play any demo from Strikers, let alone buy the game, until Persona 5 comes to the PC. The game looks nice, but for now it's a pass for me.

      @@NoisyPixelNews Well - It does not even have to be Royal, because Strikers is (as far as I understood) a follow up for Persona 5. It seems that the extra persons in Royal are missing in Strikers.
      Anyway - For us PC gamers it does not make a whole lot of sense to buy Strikers until we have a chance to play the original Persona 5 (Royal or not) on the PC. Until then I personally will not buy Strikers. It's sad, because it looks like a nice game.

    • @BitchChill

      I don't get why they port the sequels to other Platforms, but the original. As logic stands, the sequel won't sell that well if people never had the chance to play the original
