Toe drag release
Just got my Legend Pro and used in a pick up game. It feels like you read my mind about this stick. Everything you said is exactly how I felt about it. Puck feel has got to be the best. I can tell if the puck is on my heel or toe without even looking based on the feel. The quick snap shots come off fast but I definitely had to put more into it for wrist shots. I thought to myself that the stick felt a little stiff for an 85 flex. Maybe an 80 flex would be better. This stick is absolutely a puck handling stick that can get that quick shot off. Only part we disagree is the matte finish. I like it because I can index my bottom hand for big, booming slapshots by sliding my hand up to the grip from the smooth matte finish, which is strategically placed at the kick point. I am a winger though, not a center and I rarely take faceoffs. Thanks for the review guys and keep them coming.
what i love is how even there cheaper legends are great, i use the rekker legend 2 and its never let me down
I'd love to know your guys' opinion between the main Sherwood sticks since I know you love pretty much all of them. Between the Code Tmp pro, the rekker element, and the rekker legend, which one is best?
Love my Rekker legend , I have legend pro 1 and 4 as my sticks.
The 4 is to flexy ( 75 ) but a great back up and the Legend (85 ) has an amazing feel and is super light.
I was testing out sticks at the store. Was never a Sherwood guy, but I was so accurate doing the toe drag release that I had to buy it (maybe that's why Bedard uses it lol).
Has the Proto r or the ft ghost broken yet?
Sherwood Rekker Legend Pro vs Trigger 8 pro video would be nice!
Great shout ! We’ll try get that filmed
My thoughts EXACTLY!!!! I'm wondering if that was what he was hinting at when he was like- nevermind! Haha
Especially considering the Legend Pro is significantly less $$$ than the Hyperlite 2 and Trigger 8 Pro. This stick is definitely looking like the most bang for your buck right now.
Has the ft ghost or Proto R broken yet?!?
Contrary to the comment about matte finishes I play centre and use a legend 3 a lot, I find the matte finish really doesn't bother me on the face-offs and helps me adjust position on the fly,
Just practis with sherwood rekker legand pro today osum for one timers grest toe drags and toe drag releses. and all shots and has a good grip i wish it griped all the way down the stick cuz sometimes i play center. Im gonna use it for my game this week overall 9.9/10
I have one and honestly went to the Bauer Sync. I just prefer loading shots with it. The Rekker plays so incredibly stiff.
I think you got your answer to the video when Connor Bedard chose to replace his Hyperlite with the Rekker Legend Pro. I got one and I like it a lot, I’m a CCM guy so I don’t switch out sticks too often but I’d buy another one if it broke probably
Wondering if you tried the trigger 8 pro b4 this one?
@@juliegatesman9501 yup I had one a couple months ago and really liked it but it only lasted about 4 games when someone chicken winged it under his arm as we were going for a 50/50 puck behind my net and he carried the momentum through the post and snapped it in half lol can’t really give an honest opinion on it other than the time I had with it. The puck feel was nice on the blade
have you tried the ft5 Pro or the As5 Pro?
@@MrMitchywoo gahhhhh well that sucks!!! What a way to lose a stick!! But ok, I was wondering if you could compare the two. I absolutely love the feel of the puck on the trigger 8 pro!! Love CCM sticks as well so I'm super curious about how the Sherwood ones compare. Hoping they do a video of these two! I'm an old school Sherwood fan back in the day of the wood twigs 🤣😂 Sure as hell not getting rid of my trigger, but wouldn't mind having a Sherwood in my lineup! 🤣 Not spending any more money tho hahaha!!
do you guys know coy prevost? he just moved to tommy england team from australia and im from there so...
Has the ft ghost or proto r broke yet?
Just ordered a rekker and had to get the Dallas alternate gloves to match 🤷♂️
with sherwood sticks the flex is stiffer, like I had the code tmp pro 45 flex (125 lbs) it did not feel like a 45 it felt like a 55
I just got 3 sherwood rekker legand pro's!!!!! cant wait!!!!!
Great stick
Agree with everyone that Sherwood stick flex is a bit stiffer.
I have a rekker element one and legend pro both 75 flex and the legend is quite a bit stiffer
When ya'll gonna review The Puckslinger
Love my Sherwood reeker pp14
Please true hzrdus 9x vs cat9 skate
Pretty sure it is a hybrid style kick point not just a low kick
I agree 100% about the H2 terrible puck feel......to me it has to do with the blade dampening combined with hozel design/construction. Blade lasted 6 games......thought Id learn my lesson after breaking a Ag5nt after a month.......never again Bauer
Can't wait to try this Sherwood......would like to see VS against a Trigger8 Pro
I couldn't agree more. I just got the h2 and I'm not a fan so far. I have the X5 pro as well and I prefer that as I can actually feel the puck better. 😊
You should see it custom Bauer sticks are better for puck feel
Ccm trigger 8 pro vs Bauer Proto R vs Ccm ghost
Do a Treu skate hzrdus 9 VS cat 9
Do a battle of the boron.
Ag5nt vs Proto R
Highlighter yellow
I feel like Bauer’s durability overall has gone down in the last couple years. From equipment, to skates, to sticks. They all fall apart in week/months. You expect wear and tear… but jeez
Couldn’t get used to the legend pro, realized after about 4 games that Sherwoods P92 lie is diff then Bauer… stopped using it.
Pretty sure it is a hybrid style kick point not just a low kick
It does have a “dual kick point” feature, but it’s still considered a low kick stick
