My washing machine videos seems to be popular so here's new video for viewers who like to see videos about them :)
Small "how to" tip about cleaning the lint trap (or lint filter) using DIY container, so that the dirty water won't run on the floor leaving marks on it.

Translation to English according to Google translator:

Interesting problem, never stumbled upon this myself yet.
Look for the owner's manual troubleshoot page if there's any suggestions for your particular machine.
From my Whirlpool AWE7530 owner's manual troubleshoot page, if this light comes on:
- Disconnect the machine from mains power.
- Check that the pump and lint trap is not clogged and the pump rotates freely.
- Check that the waste water hose is not clogged or frozen and there's no tight kinks on it.
- If these are ok, connect the machine back to mains power, press reset button at least 3 seconds and try if it now works.
- If the light still comes back, contact service technician.
If electrical wiring is ok, my guess is that your pump has probably failed and needs to be replaced.

My washer's pump doesn't rotate freely. What should I do?
Never experienced this myself, but here's few thoughts.
Is it like completely seazed, or is there just a little resistance? First check the owners manual, how freely it should rotate in your machine? The manual also should have troubleshooting section, which is good to read as well.
Is there real problem in the machine operation, like water not draining, etc.?
If the pump really is faulty, I guess there's no other option but to replace it. Perhaps time to call a professonial technician?
Disassembling may not be that hard, but getting it back together reliably and water tight is the real question.
I have a AWE7100 and I cant seem to open the filter cover...any ideas ?
Seems to be like this when opened in AWE 7100:

If you can't open it with fingers, then I suggest some tool, like pliers. Put some cloth between the tool and the filter cover, so you wont damage it. Don't use excessive force either so you wont damage it.
Also, make sure you are turning it to the correct direction.
If it's still not going to open or even move at all, better call technician as there might be something wrong, especially if your machine is still under warranty.
You see in my video that I can open it with my fingers, it shouldn't be very hard job as it's designed to be opened occasionally.

just an FYI.. this type of trap is really only a coin trap for thing with a damet bigger than about 3/4 of an inch or so.. It is not good at catch or filter out smaller or lighter objects. I presonally had an ear bud silicone cover get lodged into the water pump. It made it past this trap. I think this is a design flaw.. it should have a proper lint or debri filtersing screen to protect the water pump from getting clogged up and causing damage and/or costly repair.
Ok, thanks for the comment. I guess there is still room for improvement in washing machines if anything gets through lint trap which can cause damage to the machine.
