Been posting on his channel forever that he needed to put in a real slipper clutch. So glad that he finally did it! Made the car 100x more predictable to launch and tames it down on the gear changes which have both been long time issues with the car. Go Fin!
Thank you Mr Bailey, and everyone that makes these races possible. I've been to every sick week at Orlando speed world. I would never have got to spectate drag and drives if you hadn't brought one down here. And now you've got multiple events. It's amazing. Thank you to all the drivers and Co pilots too.
I got a wild hair this morning after work and went out to see this I'm so glad I did. I managed a 2 hour nap and back to work. 12 hr shifts suck , but getting to see the drag races today was worth the lack of sleep. Big thanks to the random guy who gifted me his tickets as I was driving in . I gave the extra to the guy behind me. i may try and go the hebron just for the hell of it on friday.

What does Mike mean by a slipper clutch? How is it physically different from a normal diaphragm style single plate clutch. Is it just a solid centre friction disc with some trick friction lining rhat doesn't mind getting hot, or are we starting to talk about something that uses adjustable weights to control how abruptly and at what RPM it engages, like a top fuel car type clutch- or is it something totally different again? Would really appreciate some info guys, thank you... 🙂
Watch the latest video on Finnegans channel. He goes into all the detail about it. Basically it's adjustable weights and pressure in a similar way the clutches you mention.
@@ErewhonGB Ahhh, I suspected that was the case. I haven't looked at his channel in ages for some reason- will look for it though. Thanks for the answer 👍
