My grandfather was a Gun runner and dispatcher for Paddy Kinnane of Upperchurch. He robbed rifles one time from the now Garda College with was the British army Barracks at the time in Templemore. He was buried in Templemore in 1976 with the Tri Colour on his coffin. God rest them all brave men.
Dan Breen is the greatest ever tipperary man bar none. I was raised on the Galtee mountains / ballydrehid, I lived in England and overtime I got a glimpse of the galtee mountains on my return, my heart raced This is God's country for me personally Tipp abu
Dan Breen's wanted poster described him thus.Age 27, 5 feet 7 inches in height, bronzed complexion, dark hair(long in front),grey eyes, short cocked nose, stout build, weight about 12 stone, clean shaven; sulky bulldog appearance; looks rather like a blacksmith coming home from work; wears cap pulled well down over face.
These photo images are heartbreaking these incredible men and women who gave everything to free our country and save us from tyranny. Are these photos in a collection in a book?
THE GALTEE MOUNTAIN BOY WAS A COUSIN OF MY FATHERS - SEAN TREACY - NEC PLURIBUS IMPAR- BLESS HIM- DEUS VULT- NEVER FORGOTTEN EVER "TIPPERARY WITH DAN BREEN ..." 🎄🔥🎄🔥🎄🔥💚🔥🎄🔥🎄🔥🎄🐕👍
Great song thanks for the posting Dan. Also really interesting photos - does anyone know who the third person in the photo at 0.08-0.13 with Sean Hogan and Dan Breen?
Myles Meagher Couldn't be Dinny Lacey as the photo was taken when Hogan and Breen went to America after the treaty was signed. It was probably taken around Jan 1922. They both returned to fight for the Republican side in the Civil War. But I am pretty sure Lacey never went to America. I am not sure who Dinny Slattery is.
My uncle lost his leg 🦵 in the civil war fuck the thanks he got 10 shillings a month of a pension A free house 🏠and 300 euro a week for a single man today what a fucking joke 😮😮😮

Cudgie 1000 Possibly Dinny Lacey Or Dinny Slattery

It’s Ned o brien who escaped to America after the knocklong rescue
the galtee mountain boy was commandant liam lynch.
He was from Anglesborough. So maybe. Heck of a song either way.
Respect for them brave men and women from The people's Socialist Republic of Liverpool.

Nairac was a coward with hundreds of British soldiers minding him.
