Bob, I've fallen into your channel and I just want to say that your choice of music, your knowledge, and your workmanship is just delightful. You have created easily one of the most quality content channels I've had the pleasure of seeing. I've seen a lot. I could watch your videos all night and I don't even know anything about model trains!!! (until now) I came here for putting an overhang on my garage doors and discovered the rest of your channel and your passions. Fixing. Creating. Repurposing. Keep up the fantastic content!

Wow! I just saw this and want to thank you so much for starting my day off on such a positive note! It’s easily the nicest and most flattering comment I’ve ever gotten. I hope you have a great week. You’ve started my day off in a great way. Thanks again so much. Bob

Hi Bob, I purchased a group of 4 ALCO shells and I am working on converting two for a Halloween train. I added or replaced the lower skirts similar to. your video except I used a heat gun. Worked well. Questions....How do you get the number boards out. I tried to mask the boards but I think my pin stripping tape was old and as soon as I started painting it blew was. Did all Alcos have the front skirt. I made these and cut out the opening for the front coupler. I used super glue and it seems like a solid bond. Thanks for all the great information. Bob in Leavenworth KS.

I don’t think mine came with number boards. Some didn’t even come with cab glass. I know the front coupler can be removed.

I can think of 3 different styles of alco shells that fit the stamped steel chassis. Two with openings for front couplers and one without.

That UP 1065 is yearning for a gray roof and hood . . .

I don't know what to do with that shell. It's still in pretty decent shape so I can't bring myself to repaint it.

Maybe. What are they please? There’s usually a number on the bottom. Superkings and speedkings begin with a “K” then the number. Thanks. Bob

Why do you play such loud music and then try to talk over it. I can no longer watch the video.
