I hope that the ship company and insurance are helping to pay for the cleanup? Manpower and involvement is great, but on this scale (big ) you need large machines helping. Best wishes.
Beach combers 2-3 times the size and probably 100x more efficient than these 3 put together can be rented for this project. Many beaches across the world have been using them.
MEPA, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, Greenpeace, and other international organizations should be looking at charging the ship owners and the country of nurdle manufacturing (China in other words) for the clean-up expenses.
As Ghandi says, you must be the change you want to see. Plastic consumption needs to be reduced overall by individuals to reduce the impact on the oceans .
Lol I like how you blame the manufacturers. Do you have 2-5x as much money to spend as you’re now? I bet if you really tried, you could live your life with very minimum of such plastics. But I don’t see you doing that. You think if we force the manufactures to stop, everything with the magically fixed. It won’t
The company’s that cause this should be made to clear this up however much it costs! Kudos to the locals for sorting it themselves! ❤❤❤
Just another piece of evidence that politics doesn't care about it's people and the land!
EXACTLY!!

Amazing people, amazing efforts, amazing international cooperation, and amazing that the Sri Lankan government got so involved.
Oh wow thank you for sharing this video. It's good to call attention to these things and we have to start fixing them somehow
Fantastic work you are doing. I have never seen anyone that goes this deep to clean up basically anything❤❤❤❤

Involving people in these activities is also educative.
Don’t these nurdles float, could you use flotation to separate the sand from the plastic pellets (polyethylene), just a thought.
Well that’s a really efficient way of working. Are the chemical warfare suits really necessary for sifting plastic pellets.
Awesome ! 😊
Someone get these guys an actual sand sifter

Unfortunately CCP doesn't play by the rules. They give very little regard to this sort of matter.
Are they still cleaning there? Are there any update informations?

" no longer there " ....... REALLY ..... open your eyes and BRAIN
В начале надо людей воспитать что бы не бросали мусор а потом заниматься чисткой😊
What happened to this project ??
Sri Lankan gov is busy with stealing money but helping the country, i won't expect anything good from these clowns. Better ask the public for help.
how can i get one
until the manufacture of single-use plastics stops, clean-ups are a temporary band-aid. Kudos to those that do such clean-ups though.

No?
What a disaster we're making all around the world...
Глупо и не продуктивно заниматься этим вручную. Все способы, показанные на видео - это борьба с ветряными мельницами.
Why the masks ect
Covid.
@@Gertyutz OK. Why the masks? Outside? On a windy beach. It still amazes me that people were this insane.
@@jamesbizs It wasn't insane. Early in the pandemic, we didn't understand how it was spread.
You need machines to process this crap..
There are field of them as far as the eye can see.
