    Wonderful video on a neat little car. But, the thing to take away from this is when people come together to help people in ANY way. In this case, it was a great little car with a history. Great video, thanks for posting. Take care.

    Awesome video, thank you, Mr.Ogrady, for addressing the subject of the Tohoku earthquake that I have a couple of questions , first , where were you when the earthquake happened, second , does the car engine 2T.

    • @wasabicars
      @wasabicars  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The engine is a T engine, but not 2T. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_T_engine#T

    • @wasabicars
      @wasabicars  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      As for the Tsunami and earthquake, it happened far away from me. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_T%C5%8Dhoku_earthquake_and_tsunami

    Looking more closely that doesnt look like the slant 4 K series in there - looks like a 2T 1600. Not nitpicking just an observation. My friend had one of these when I was a teenager with a 4K 1300 engine bought off a neighbour - the engine in this thing pulled like a train for what it was and all riders attested to its strength. I know they are pretty light but it certainly seems some engines are much stronger than others - perhaps they are superior from the factory and/or been looked after by the right people. I wished for a KE25 special for a long time but ultimately would love a KE10 to grace my garage before I kick the bucket.

    • @wasabicars
      @wasabicars  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      YEah, it's a T engine without a doubt. It's a TE25. :)

      This is a car I've been getting requests to show for years! Never, ever, ever... ever seen one in Japan, or in real life. Japan throws cars out, esp any car over 15 years old.

    Hope it was metal dipped to remove all rust and chemical corrosion! Only way to remove this. I know as will be doing this to my r32 gtr but it has no rust and never seen water! I want it to last for my life 75+ years ;) Along with full rotisserie restoration!

    • @wasabicars

      I highly doubt it. The "resto scene" is pretty much non existent in Japan.

    Thank god there are people like the owner of this car, most may not like the car for what ever the reason, but it is a piece of japan and the owner's history. It's in some respects a piece of art, cars today are appliances they have no soul like this car does. Unfortunately the automobile became an appliance after 2000 ( some say earlier), cars up to that point had to be controlled by a human (experienced or other wise), now what we use to do is being done by electronics and that takes away the fun, great video
