My brother had 1 back in 1982. It was a mustard like color. He painted the car red and blacked out the chrome and plastic trim. It was a really good car! It was only about 10-11 years old at the time! So it wasn’t old. I would love to find one. I think most are destroyed and the ones around are probably all rusted out. But yours looks really nice!! That’s a relic. I got a 75 & 76 Toyota Celica coupe I’m trying to work on. Looking at yours, inspires me to get it done. Thanks for sharing!
I bought 1971 2TC 4spd. 20 mpg all the time . 1982 -1984 drove maddly w/bias ply tires . Messed with Vettes ( it was 1982) My best friend rode on the roof driving (girls inside with me and the heater , factory fm cassette stereo) around Denver during the "Christmas Blizzard of 82" (chains) . Enjoy that car ,keep your your foot in it until the front comes loose then lighten up ! Hah! What a great car , first car I evrr drove that everything worked . You know like turn signals , brake lights , heater ,dome lights , brakes And clutch ! Threw a rod at about 180,000 and years of constant abuse . R.I.P. Old friend . P.s. Never failed to start until the last ..
My first car was a 71 Corolla army gray. Put a killer 8 track player in it with 4 pioneer speakers. Took a lot of trips from Reno to San Francisco for concerts in that car.
Hey Rich I know you don’t have the car but do you remember where you got the lowering blocks, do they all fit? I mean they sell different cars lowering blocks but can’t seem to find any for this car, which ones fit? If you remember
I bought the lowering blocks off of Amazon and had to drill the "pin location" hole on the block out to 19mm to get to fit on the stock leaf springs. Also with these small axles, it's the Ubots that are the toughest to find. I bought mine here in this spec: uboltsdirect.com I ordered R04 - 3/8" X 2 3/8" Inside Width - Fine Thread
I used the TechnoToyTuning Weld on Front Coilover setup technotoytuning.com/toyota/te27/weld-front-coilover-kit-te27-corolla If you have questions, give them a call, they are super responsive and helpful.
Excellent car mate. What pcd are the rims? Can you please write the offset and pcd for me . I want to fit wheel to my ke20 and not fit flares . Having trouble finding some good wheels
Since this is a TE21, it is 4 x 114.3, I believe a K20 is 4x110? The sizing on mine are 14 x 6.5 +5 offset front and 14 x 7 0 offset in the rear. Good luck on your search. I would suggest looking up exquisiteautohaus on instagram, that is where i purchased these from.
I bought the block off of Amazon at "The Speedway Motors Store" . You will need to make the hole larger to fit over the locating pin on the leaf spring but it's pretty easy to make it work.

Right on and thanks! I sold it a bit ago but to a guy who is doing a complete rebuild on it, ground up. Should look amazing when he's done.

Take care the rust spots. Keep the paint OG patina style. If you need more power 3tc swap.
Dude, you’re making me want an OG Corolla now Rich. Hmmm…TE21 does go well with D21. 🤔
Nice!
