Hi Lou! I haven’t see that model but the LTD EC-1000 that I have has those same inlays you are talking about (abalone) all around the body, neck and and headstock. LTD makes some really great axes. Thanks for watching man!
I have several LTDs… I have two of the LTD Alex Skolnick, the Hardtail and the one with the Floyd Rose … I recently played an original eclipse. I believe it was a 2015… In liquid metal. I expected more from a handmade guitar that is constructed from one piece of wood, the neck in the body. The guitar was nice… But did not play better than some of my really nice LTDs… I own nothing but eclipses. The Alex Skolnik guitars come with bone nuts The Skolnik Esp models are eight and $9000… The LTDs are 1200 and $1600… They are not handmade they’re made in Korea… The build quality is excellent… And there’s no way I would spend $8000 for when I can get the LTD. I've owned 2 Lynch Customshop (Kami4/ M1 Tiger) spec'd by Matt M. @ESP NoHo Also a ESP Kami1 Cshp w the lawsuit pointed headstock Eye candy elite guitars 💖 Then before I spend for Gibson Axcess Floyd I test the waters w Gary Holt's LTD LP body Floyd and was stunned at the build fretboard frets EMG's etc. In my book LTDs go toe to toe with ESP and are easily worth the bang for the buck 🌟
Also I've seen Holt play out his LTD signature models It's not just a photo op and then he plays ESPs or some other guitar he's playing LTDs and actually when he got the endorsement the next Slayer album he recorded all of solos with his LTDs so proof right there it's legit! If you feel better at the end of the day with the papers & the case candy the logo on the headstock which I understand (Gibson Epiphone) But less money in the bank go ESP. For a daily driver that shreds LTD kicks ass 👍
I think you could find a real niche if you teach more Lynch tbh, because you have the guitars, a great sound and your playing is authentic. Not many people teach Lynch let alone accurately
For me, it's a matter of taste and budget, some brands make very good Mexican guitars, I think of Fender... sometimes there is only a question of violin making, woods are better selected, but in my opinion some sound better than the USA, it remains my opinion of course 😊... esp and ltd are two great brands, and you have to try the models. I'll subscribe right away to follow you, congratulations to you for this demo
Okay I might be insane, but I actually feel like the LTD held its own against the ESP. To me the LTD sounds sweeter whereas the ESP sounds harsher (probably due to the maple body) but the ESP is definitely way higher quality, built way better and plays better.
Hi Warren! Yeah that LTD is no slouch - they are good guitars. I remember playing the “Tex-Mex” Strats made in Mexico many years ago - I preferred the sound over the American Strats but the quality and playability weren’t as good. Appreciate your comments!
Yeah i had a ltd kh202 first used and i loved it at the time then i saved and got the esp kh-2 version and i saw the massive difference like you said its def smoother and i ended up selling the ltd 202 later on while it played awesome it just was stiffer it also fought me like your purple tiger its the little nuisances the more softer esp version has and it was also similarly priced at 3200 brand new in case when i bought it easily my most expensive guitar vs the 300 i paid at guitar center for the 202 lol you made awesome points i still think the secondary brands still put out great gear id get another ltd if it played well Im at the stage where the player makes the guitar these days

You need a skull and bones gee-tar in your collection. Have you ever had any issues with the floyd rose special? I see people always talking bad about them. I have never had issues with the ones i have. I give the win to the ESP. I was at Sam ash a few years ago. I played the Misha Mansoor Jacksons the USA model and the higher end export. I actually preferred the export over the USA model for that guitar. I have a Kramer that is like your LTD where the high E is close to the edge. I hate it also. Cool video. Thanks for sharing. Yeah I have a KH Demonology LTD the fit and finish are second to none. The only thing I am going is up grade the bridge to an original Floyd Rose. Some other imports you have to change out the pickups and pots not this one. I have played the M1 Tiger import the neck is a bit thick for a shredder. I use to own a Malmsteen strat that guitar had the same problem with the high E string slipping off the board. I thought it would be cool to have a scalloped fret board it’s nothing special I can’t stand Fender products anyway.
Alright here's the deal esp model uses select quality wood's not really anything different as far as tone goes maybe about a two hundred dollar difference not really worth three four thousand dollars more for an esp Ltd are decent quality they really aren't too many of them worth over a thousand dollars just like i don't really think amy esp is worth over two thousand.. WOW that's a really expensive headstock label that you're paying for with the esp.
@@guitarzen7080 yeah I just don't think people really realize that they are just throwing a lot of money away by getting a four or five thousand dollar guitar it's a shame that they will do that because Ltd are fine quality instruments.
@patrickshannon4516 they are nice - but for me I do like the ESP’s. I own both and I never viewed the ESP as a waste of money - more of an investment in what I love. If someone was looking for one guitar to play and not resell etc. An LTD is cool.
