Thank you. That point always cracks me up. When I voice over I get a lot of comments of people who say they would prefer if I didn’t. When I don’t I get a lot of comments saying they really missed the voice overs. I personally prefer to watch non-voice over videos myself. Figure I might as well just change it up back and forth 👍
How can anyone dislike this? Jealously is all i can come up with !!....im jealous i cant do this too but im not going to dislike it based on that !! As always amazing work Jeremy. Im gonna come visit you one day. Im not too far away...used to drive through your town all the time when i lived in Hanna. Rock on brother.
@ Simple Little Life No problem. I hope you continue to make vids. They are easily some of the best knifemaking videos on the internet. Maybe even the best. Im glad i found you.
The best footage I've seen on making a Cleaver. The handle was beautifully done with your processes were things I had never seen before. Obviously you have paid your dues with metal, wood and honing your skills. I am restoring my 1st Lander "very heavy" cleaver my wife found in a rental car. Super rusty and handles are in bad shape. I work for Walter Surface Technologies and I have access to industrial abrasives that I am using. I am mainly cataloging the journey for my Walter job, but it's been very satisfying. Again, thank you for you taking time to help people like me.
You make it look so easy . Beautiful looking Cleaver ! It’s been a minute since I’ve got back watching knife making . I just wish I could do this ! Keep up what you love doing ! Thanks for sharing your work ! You have a wonderful and bless day sir ! Alabama old girl!
Thank you very much, I really appreciate that. It is fun and I thoroughly enjoy it. You have a blessed day as well and thank you for the great comment! 🙏👍
Good lord I’ve seen the news paper but I’ve never seen sharp enough to cut a browneee paper towel Truly sir a Astounding knife I love the design on the butcher knife truly a true work of art I love it 🥷🏻❤️🔥❤️🥷🏻
Thank you. I hear you. It really interesting to see how strongly personal preference affects how people think of different blades. I’ve made a few knives that I hated how they looked when they were done and the people that bought them say they’re their favourite knife 😆. Keeps the world interesting 👍
I really like the way you used the layout lines on the handle before shaping. Maybe you could do a video sometime explaining your proportions and how you do the layout. Awesome video as always!!!
Beautiful knife and lovely craftsmanship. I have 2 questions if I may.. firstly, why the liquid nitrogen soak? And secondly, where do you get the little brass pillar screws? They are a great solution. Thank you for sharing your craft!
The dry ice is a cryogenic treatment it is needed especially for stainless steels like nitro-V to fully martensite the austensite before tempering basically increases wear resistance 👍
I’ve been going down a knife making rabbit hole. This is the first video I have seen of yours. For someone who only has TH-cam knowledge, can you make a video of tools and stuff needed to start? I’m a welder by trade and I understand grain structures of metal and some metallurgy but just an observer of the craft of knife making and would love to get into the craft!
I got a question how do you lay out your lines on your knife handles I'm only just curious and thinking about being a knife maker and I'm also pretty decent on sketching new knife designs and very nice work you have done hair I love the look in shape and over all the creativity that goes in the making of that creeper thank you for sharing
It turned out beautiful! Nice work! Btw, I love the horizontal table setup for your large contact wheel, that is sweet! I could certainly use that for handles and blades!
The entire piece looks good. And the handle is exceptional, you definitely wouldn’t be hearing anything from the Forged in Fire panel complaining that “I couldn’t keep my grip as I was cutting with it!”.
Thanks buddy. This was just a super cheap canon camcorder. I’ve decided it’s really not worth using good cameras in the shop anymore. As long as it shows what’s going on, it’s good enough 👍
Beautiful...it has been my goal to one day make a knife to commemorate my time in the Army. I watch guys like you and I'm like...not yet. You make it look easy.
Incredible (absolute professional) job,........I need something like this. Hopefully i can find a store of some kind with your stuff on it, definitely subscribing'!
That is a good question. This was specifically designed with a lot of my clients input (who is a chef) and he didn’t ask for one. I image he’ll use some type of magnetic knife block or something along those lines. 👍
I for one didn't miss the talk through for the cleaver. Nice job and looks to be a very workable design. Sweet.

The handle making is my favorite part of the video.

I love this channel. You convey more information in 15 minutes than some people do in hours.
Thank you very much. I appreciate that. 👍

This is not a work. This is truly a art. I love your art sir 👍🏻👌🏻
Oh, my. There’s always some incredible work coming out of your shop. I love it!
Thank you so much, I appreciate that. 👍
That is quite a beautiful tool you have made sir. If you could have kept that blue on the blade i would love to have seen that as well.
Thank you!
I have no idea why your doing all the different heat treatments but it’s cool to watch.
Nicely done
Thank you!
Incredible! The handle shaping was definitely worth the price of the video.
Thank you!
Great video again. I wish you shot footage of the making of the scales. Love the knife. Thanks for the video.
Thanks. I never made the scales though. My client sent them to me for the knife 👍
Love the handle, blade shape is okay (personal opinion) Keep up the great work!!!

Quedo muy bonita gracias por compartir tu experiencia
Can you do a video on rough forge finish( kuro ochi) knifes ?
I'm not the best to demonstrate forge stuff. I'm still very much learning the basics myself.
Morvalaous work
Magnificent work and fabulous cutting edge. Well done.
Thank you! Cheers 👍
Well done. Thank you!
Very very nice. Curious why no hole in the handle or blade for hang up?

That is just sweet man wow just crazy cool I can only dream to have that
Very nice! Don’t you just love the part when you put the finish on the wood and the grain pops?!
Thank you so much. And yeah, that is one of the best parts 👍
i think that's a superb piece, i'd be delighted with it.
Which material or grade and thickness used for knife making..?
What was the steel you used? I am having trouble finding a wide enough piece. Vid was great!
That is Nitro-V. I get it from knifemaker.ca 👍
Gorgeous work.
