A friend of mine just picked up a Schecter 5 string- man it's amazing. Not at all what I expected- I thought it would be all over the top and metal- man, it's smooth as silk- sounds great playing jazz or funk. I'm a guitarist, but of course I pretend to play bass sometimes- and even I sound good on that thing. Idk what the model is- it's about a 1200-dollar bass, but he got it for half price because it was a demo and a 2nd. That said, I can't find a mistake on it anywhere- even the finish looks perfect. No idea why it was deemed a 2nd and used for a demo- but he got a helluva deal on it as a result- from Sweet Water.

I wanted to replace the electronics in my Sterling Ray 4 bass. I already replaced the pickup with a Bartolini Original MM. I know you love the Tone Monster preamps. Which version should I use? It would be nice to have a 3 band EQ.
