you actually do but they are smaller and far between. I found one in York they had an amazing vintage section on the top floor. York has many thrift stores for its size and my son helped me find every one of them. and patiently waited for me to finish. everywhere I go I like to go treasure hunting. you never know what you will find. the british thrift shops go from messy and smelly to mini high class shops. my sister used to live in London and it is a passion we share.

I love how clean and tidy the Thrift shop is Elise. I think that in Denmark, people look after their things better so when they get passed on to another person they are in a good state. The shop display the items like new items, giving each item care and attention and show it in its beauty. I love this shop Elise. In the UK it is hit and miss with thrifting shops. I wish the shops were more like those in Denmark, and I wish that people took better care of their things here. I am in need of a small sofa, and do not have much money, I cant find one new, and just saw some really lovely ones in your video... oh! if only i lived in Denmark. 🛋
Yes I agree, same here in Ireland. Was at a thrift store recently and some of the pricing was ridiculously high. But I did manage to find bargains. Need a holiday in Denmark and bring the car 😂😊

Loved going thrifting with you. I live on the USA border of Mexico and all the Hispanic people come to our thrift shops and buy it all up and bring it to Mexico and resell. So our thrift shops are very sad.
It sounds to me that you have to get up a bit earlier then, if your neighbours buy all the good stuff just before you. Or do the hispanics buy stuff you wouldn't have worn anyway but it's an easy habbit to blame them?
@@MaleneMaare sorry if it sounds like a blame. It's not supposed to be a blame. It's the truth of border life. I watch it every day pick up trucks and trailer loads of stuff crossing the border. They definitely are hard workers collecting it all. I've lived in a third world country so I know they need it. Just no longer fun to 2nd hand shop because the stores are full of rubbish.

I know that sofa and chair obsession. I have my farmhouse, studio and big summer screened room. I have a total of 5 sofas and 10 armchairs throughout all of them. That is not including wooden chairs, another obsession. Those I have lost count of.

I have heard that it is not common in most European homes to have dryers. Hanging your laundry outside makes them smell so fresh!
